KINGMAN - Kingman Academy opened the 2013 soccer season with a 5-1 loss to Metro Tech Thursday.
Johnny Herrero scored the lone goal for the Tigers within the opening minutes of the second half.
"Overall, the kids didn't play too bad. The last few goals were a mix of being tired and miscommunications," said KAHS coach Ronnie White. "It's hard to have the kids ready for teams like this without them actually playing them. It was a wake-up call for them. Now they know what they need to be working on."
KAHS (0-1) will look to improve Tuesday when they host Bullhead City Mohave Accelerated Learning Center at 4 p.m.
