KINGMAN - After leading Chesapeake College within one victory of a spot in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Softball National Championship tournament, Stephanie Weyermiller (Kingman High, 2012) was recently named as a Third Team All-American by the NJCAA.
Weyermiller ended her career with the SkipJacks holding four school single-season records. These include home runs (16), runs batted in (51), runs scored (51) and walks (28).
She made the District L All-Tournament Team and the District L First Team, as well as the Maryland Junior College Athletic Association First Team.
CC's season ended in a 6-5 loss to CCBC Catonsville in the District L championship game.
According to Weyermiller's father, Fred, several four-year schools are in talks with her about transferring.
