7/9/2014 6:00:00 AM Statewide baseball, softball teams coming to Kingman
KINGMAN - Between the Arizona Amateur Association 10U-18U B State Championships and the Arizona State Little League Junior (13-14 year olds) state tournament, there is going to be a lot of action on the Kingman-area diamonds.
As of Tuesday, 20 teams have registered for the ASA tournaments that will be held at Centennial Park Friday-Sunday.
Currently, it looks like four tournaments will take place in the 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U divisions.
Immediately following those tournaments, the Little League state tournament begins at 3 p.m. Monday. A total of 14 teams representing the 14 districts comprising Arizona are expected to be in Kingman, with the championship game on July 24.
There are four games scheduled each afternoon and evening, with the exception of July 20 - a Sunday.
Each day, two games will be played at 5 and 8 p.m. at Southside Park, and two games at 3 and 5:30 p.m. at Lee Williams High School.
The Kingman Junior team is scheduled to open the tournament at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lee Williams.
