"We had a bunch of kids set season records," said KHS coach Rob York. "Our kids are peaking at the right time, and we should have a handful qualify for state, and a bunch will set personal records in their events over the next few weeks."

On the girls side, KHS finished 25th with three points. Amber Tackett led the Lady Bulldogs with a sixth-place finish in the discus and a 10th-place finish in the shot put.

Amanda Williams placed 10th in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:06 and the 4x800 relay team of Heather Weninger, Oliva Anderson, Alexis Bathauer and Williams placed 10th with a time of 11:20.97.

KHS was scheduled to travel to Surprise for a multiple at Shadow Ridge, but it was postponed due to high winds and will be made up on Monday. The Bulldogs will travel to the Havasu Last Chance Qualifier on Wednesday before heading to the Northwest Region Meet April 30 and May 2.

The Division I state track meet will begin May 8 at Mesa Community College with the finals set for May 11.
