Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Prescott, helped local veteran Jordan Maynard break ground on a new house in Cottonwood recently. Maynard was severely injured while serving in Afghanistan 2011. "I was honored to help break ground on a new, specially adapted home for Marine Corporal Jordan Maynard as part of the Homes for Our Troops program," Gosar said. "Corporal Maynard is a hero who gave so much in his service to our country, and I wish him and his family many happy memories in their new home."

I was so happy to read about this. The Maynard family have gone through so much. Keeping in mind the ones who gave all such a sgt. Brian Walker. Helping out servicemen who survived this war will have a chance to better their lives. Thanks again Jordan to you for serving our country at a high price. Being a past blue star mom I don't forget the ones we owe so much to. Semper Fi Continued blessing to the Maynard, Walker families.

To those of us that made the trip down to Cornville, it was well worth the time. It is a great thing that Homes for Our Troops is doing nationwide! Welcome home Jordy!
