2/24/2010 5:01:00 AM Letter: Walker just hasn't figured it out
I usually respond to letters such as the one from County Manager Ron Walker the day I see them. This time, however, I couldn't. I had just finished reading his diatribe demanding obedience when I heard my jaw hit the floor. Apparently, I bent down too quickly attempting to pick it up and passed out. This resulted in a concussion and a trip for medical care.
It has become apparent that Mr. Walker is also stuck in some alternate dimension along with Supervisor Tom Sockwell. It would take way more space than this paper can give me to point out everything to Mr. Walker, so I will just highlight a few.
First off, an elected official who comes to town, especially with under one year to re-election, is campaigning. You can call his/her arrival anything you want, but that politician is campaigning. According to A.R.S. 11-410, the violators were the county's three highest elected officials: The Board of Supervisors! They allowed Sen. McCain's staff to pass out politically related materials in violation of the law. To make it worse, our county manager supported them!
It appears the "naturalized citizen" from Italy knows more about the Arizona statutes than you do. The supervisor should apologize, as he was the one who was in violation of the statute. Now that you insulted Italians, how about some other immigrants. I am second generation Polish. Perhaps my family hasn't been here long enough to "get it."
I don't care what you think about Sockwell. I think he is an arrogant politician who does what he wants and does not consider the wishes of his constituents. Apparently, he is not alone. There are at least two other members of the BOS that are just like him. Oh, and a county manager who agrees with anything they say.
You just haven't figured it out have you, Ron? Go back to the year 1773. The Boston Tea Party was held that year. It was held because of a law imposing a tax on tea. People didn't like it - tea in the harbor. Three years later, the people said, "To heck with your laws." That led to a war. We called it the Revolutionary War. If we had lost, we would have British accents and be singing "God Save the Queen." That all happened because the people were not happy with the government. Do you see any parallel here, Ron? Or are you too wrapped up in doing your master's bidding? People are unhappy, Ron. We can't grab our guns and start a war, but we can resist in other ways. You know what the term "shot across the bow" means. Luca Zanna fired the first one, and it's not gonna stop. People are just tired of this "Good Ol' Boy" crap that permeates this county. It is going to stop. It may take a while, but it is going to stop.
Lastly, old Teddy also said, "Walk softly and carry a big stick." I always took that to mean that if the people doing you wrong ignored your polite request to stop, you did whatever it took to make them stop. Oh, by the way, do Watson or Johnson get to write the next letter?

@anonymous......various individuals ad groups have been wrongfully targeted, investigated, and even arrested/charged with crimes during the past several decades. A cursory review of events proves this. I distinctly recall an episode of PBS' Jim Lehrer Newshour about 10 years ago, when the chairman of the House Judiciary subcommittee described the FBI as "a dangerous and sordid organisation". Why - speaking oflocal affairs - do you think various law enforcement officials have recently been fired? And that's the part we know about.

As a vietnam era veteran, its humorous to me to read a angry vet, his home broke into by the government, allegedly of course, since on line we have to take everyone at their own word and I am of the opinion I believe half of what I hear, and half of what I see! But that being said, mohave county has a very nefarious background with some radicals, home grown terrorists, hiding amongst our midst, some going by the name of minute men, but having affiliations with "Aryan Nations" connected to a fellow who died in a execution for a infamous Oklahoma City bombing incident named Timothy McVeigh, he had a bunker here in mohave county where he to plotted his "view of patriotism", had the government been on its toes with him and his buddy, they might have prevented the deaths of the 165 plus men, women & children he felt killing was some how justified, patriotic, he to was a military vet! I do equate treason with sedition, secession, make no bones about it, only mistake Lincoln made during the civil war he showed mercy, kindness to the "rebels/traitors", he ought to have sent the leaders and their generals to the gallows and pardoned only the foot soldiers who followed that mistaken ideaology! If one is being investigated, arrested in mohave county one is likely doing something illegal, and if so do not cry and whine to me, since I truly could care less! You make your own bed in this life, and if its a hard one, tough luck!

Doesn't Ron Walker know that laws are made to protect us (The People) and not to protect the County Building and the politicians in it FROM The People who have graciously let them conduct business in it? Well, at least until the next election or recall if we can get that together! PLEASE VOTE! USE YOUR POWER AS A CITIZEN! Get these idiots out of our County Buildings!!!

The Shadow Knows
"Sticks and Stones"
Dear County Manager Ron Walker and County Supervisor Tom Sockwell:
One things seems readily apparent in the ongoing controversy regarding the use of the County Building it 's pretty clear that neither of you officials got elected or hired for your intelligence but more than likely at the hand of special interest. While the law and practice of writing ordinances is a common acceptable procedure, you fool no one into thinking your true purpose was under the umbrella of Risk Management and Public Safety. The law was created to protect your own skins and to give you a sanctuary within to hide, because of your unethical behavior. Mr. Walker, it's no secret you almost wet your little panties when you saw the swell of peaceful protestors right in your face. Don't worry fellows, Sticks and Stones are never going to hurt you, but words will. Oh by the way, no one is stupid enough to believe you crafted anything but rather had the new ordinance written by attorneys paid for with public funds.
You make a bogus claim that it is your duty to make efficient use of taxpayer dollars but you have demonstrated you have no regard for tax payer dollars by your very actions. Had you engaged in proper conduct and much less arrogance you would have saved Mohave County a great deal of money, now unnecessarily being spent. You and your buddies are the prime movers of this controversy, NO ONE ELSE. So let's "make clear" using your words, that no matter what type of spin you use to try to transfer the blame for your mistakes and your actions, no one is buying it. You people started this not Mr. Luca Zanna nor the ground swell of protestors forming exponentially as you read this.
One thing we all agree upon is no one should be in fear. We all deserve an environment free of harassment and intimidation and that is the law of the land. Having said that and speaking for the good citizens of Mohave County, your very presence, the sight of your faces, the sound of your voices and your insistence to Walker, (excuse me I meant to say ) WALK all over our rights is by far much more harassing and intimidating than any peaceful protest. As a testament to this one had only to observe you snap your tiny fingers and have a good citizen arrested on some pretentious charge.
In closing I will agree with you once again. As history confirms itself, it IS too bad one or two spoil things for everyone else. In this case it was you Mr.Walker and You Mr.Sockwell that are the spoilers. WE also agree with Mr.Watson when he says "this is a sad situation". As a matter of fact it is so sad it is not going away until you do. The people are not going to wait for lengthy litigation while your misconduct fades away. The people have a huge portfolio of legal, peaceful actions which will make you curse the day you started this. If your duty is to efficiently manage County money and create an environment free of fear and intimidation, then your most prudent course of action is your immediate resignations.

If "political rallies" are forbidden on county property, where will John McCain hold his next re-election rally? I attended the one in question, and it was clearly to make nice-nice so he can get reelected.
Luca Zanna was merely informing the public about McCain's voting record. Which McCain should have done himself (unless he's ashamed of it). There was no "harassment" or "intimidation" or anything abusive in Luca Zanna's behavior. Attendees were free to take a flyer or ignore it completely. I for one appreciate informative flyers handed out at meetings, whether "official" or not. It's helpful to know both sides of any issue or candidate so I always gratefully accept all flyers.
To libel and slander Luca Zanna and his wife as the supervisors have done is unconscionable and loudly shows the supervisors are unfit for public office. ANY public office.
Such arrogance of power is what the citizens of this country are rejecting and ejecting in November.
Suggestion for the supervisors: Read the Constitution. The US Constitution. Every day. Until it sinks into your brain(s). Assuming you have such.

Philip the ex-newspaper editor
the ex-marine writing anonymously warns us all against treason, under penalty of jail or death. Maybe you should be addressing your remarks to your former Commander-in-Chief, who should more properly be described as your former Traitor-in-Chief (or Rapist-in-Chief, etc.). As you can resarch for yourself with publisher R. Emmett Tyrell's U.S. State Department document-supported story in an article at his American Spectator magazine several years ago, Bill Clinton spent summer 1969 in Prague, Moscow (where he stayed at residences reserved exclusively for KGB operatives & guests), and Hanoi (the year before I was drafted into the U.S. Army and spent 2 1/2 years overseas during the Vietnam War). Credible research details Prescott Bush's financing of Adolph Hitler ($25 million channeled through Union Bank at the time) - no wonder son George Bush Sr. told White House press corps member Susan MacClarendon "If the American people knew what we have done, they would hang us from the nearest lampposts!". Other traitors include the profiteers from our wars-based-upon-packs-of-lies and mass murder, and the whore media who shill for the diabolical matrix of Government, film industry, and defence industry (not to mention the requisite merciless "justice" system to cement the whole monstrosity together). In the shadow of all this, I consider those who wish to gather in front of the Mojave County Administration building to be heroes, not traitors. When I wrote the Daily Miner last fall regarding Government crime, they [gov't] broke into my home surreptitiously, and when I protested that, they came back to arrest me. Then at the national level, they depict our lives and concerns through their grotesque collusively-produced Hollywood films. I certainly consider these (generally, although not exclusively) semitic vultures to be traitors to the virtuous and religious early American settlers. You want to round up a bunch of traitors? Start by nailing the judges, city attorneys, and law enforcement officials getting rich under the table fromk the massive local meth business. Want some names and specific amounts here? Just ask. But my preference is to wait until Monday at the citizen-patriot gathering in front of the Mojave County Administration Building. This time around, I am going to ask some of those folks sticking their video cameras in my face as I speak, just who they are. And whether they'd mind filming those in Government - traitors - who broke into my home in a very Government way. I'll even risk another home break-in to suggest that the semitic Federal Reserve bankers return a few trillion of what they have raped from the taxpayers in interest the past few years.

Since King Ron Walker has waved his hand and bestowed the no-political-rally initiative into law for the Mohave County Administration building, maybe we all should show up to hold a political rally in the street in front of Ron E. and Sally Walker’s home in Lake Havasu City. We could all show up with pitchforks or toilet plungers. I suggest the toilet plunger because it is obvious the county’s sewer system is clogged with King Walker’s rhetoric. I wonder if he would attempt to stop that gathering of people exercising their free rights to assemble because he feared for his and his families safety? I hear via the grapevine King Walker told other officials and employees in Mohave County that the reason he would not allow Fried and his pitchfork into the BOS meeting was because he “was scared for his safety.” I guess the same reasoning goes for him not allowing the American flag to be brought into the building. Maybe he thought someone would skewer him with the flag pole. Oh, hewould have allowed the American flag if it had been smaller. I’m not suggesting this because I don’t want any of us being charged with some bogus crime or charged with some alleged terrorist plot, but I wonder if he would be paranoid if all of the so-called political rally participants decided to follow him to his home in Lake Havasu City since neither he nor Sally are listed on the Mohave County Assessor roles as property owners. I guess this means he is hiding behind some moniker such as “No Name Provided.”

Apparently Ron Walker is trying to find reasons to prohibit citizens rights... I wonder how many "ralliers" will be arrested by the Sheriff's dept. on Monday and when the Sheriff will wake up and see that he should be arresting the idiots hiding in their offices or cowaring out the back door. They are violating the constitutional rights of the citizens and TAXPAYERS of Mohave County. What are you going to do Sheriff? Are you going to stand by your "good ol' boys"?

Mohave County Manager Ron Walker might have said he will no longer allow any political rallies on county property, but it won’t preclude all of us to venture into the meeting individually (not as a group) and when the time comes, all of us should stand up and let it be known will not tolerate the suppression of our rights to gather and protest. They will probably just shut the meeting down because I honestly don’t think they are prepared to arrest 500 people. The 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees “the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." The constitutional right of peaceful assembly means that people can gather in public to discuss their opinions about government or other concerns. This right of assemble also guarantees the right of association in groups, such as political parties, labor unions, and business organizations. How is it that King Ron Walker believes he is above the law and U.S. Constitution and can make any rule he wants? Then he gets his puppet Mohave County Civil Attorney Bob Taylor to back up what he says by informing all of us “his rule of law.”
