Letter: 'You People' are officially on notice

I have been a resident of Mohave County for just a few years. I am a property owner and a taxpayer, a disabled veteran from the Vietnam era and a law-abiding citizen. I am current on most all the recent issues of controversy in this county, and as such, I'd like to state my opinion on what I have seen.

Never in my 62 years have I seen what appears to be so much corruption and deception promulgated by local city and county officials. Never have I seen the constitutional rights of the people so casually trampled and systematically crushed. Finally, never have I seen such inept and disgraceful leadership.

With this in mind, I address this letter to "You People," the likes of County Manager Ron Walker and Supervisor Tom Sockwell, to name a few. Yes, "You People" take notice. "You People" just better be listening because your game is up. "You People" better learn who you work for. "You People" better get a grip and stop your antics and labels. "You People" better start seeing the real problem when you look into the mirror. "You People" disgrace your positions, the cities and the county because you have no respect for "We The People," who you callously call "a lunatic fringe group."

Shame on "You People." How dare you try to intimidate, isolate, segregate and label good citizens for standing up for their rights. How dare you violate and discriminate against "We The People" by stopping patriots like Mr. Gianluca Zanna from exercising his right and "We The People's" right to free speech. How dare you pull constitutionally questionable stunts like the ridiculous "No Color" policy and National Guard policing. How dare you stall and stumble when asked questions "We The People" have an absolute right to ask. How dare you try to cover your unscrupulous behavior with deception and whitewash.

How dare you try to take the focus off your behavior by pointing out and belittling Mr. Zanna as an Italian-born national and lauding Sockwell as born and bred in America. Rather you should be praising Zanna for his many years of hard work becoming a legal immigrant citizen. Sockwell did nothing but fall from his mother's womb, and from his behavior, it appears he may have fallen on his pointed little baby head.

On Feb. 16, I attended the peaceful protest in front of the county building. There were dozens and dozens of concerned citizens of all ages and from all walks of life. They were there because they believe you intend to continue to subvert our constitutional right of free speech. "You People" better believe that for every citizen present, there were hundreds more who were feeling the same outrage. Please don't think that focusing on the arrest of one good citizen will take the focus off "You People." Will "You People" stop at nothing? Do "You People" have no shame or moral integrity?

Do "You People" understand how suspicious and evil you make the good police and the good city and county employees appear? Do "You People" understand the tarnish you are putting on this county? Within the first year of moving to Mohave County, I had to tell my dear wife that I was feeling like we hadn't moved to Mohave County, Arizona, but rather to some obscure third-world dictatorship police state. I wonder how the Chamber of Commerce feels about your mindset, "We control the hicks on Route 66!"

Maybe "You People" haven't noticed there is a revolution brewing in America, and the last time I checked, Mohave County was in America. "We The People" are going to exercise every legal means and constitutional rights our forefathers and God gave us, whether you like it or not.

for those that havent heard this , I hope u listen and it lifts u.
corruption and twisted goverment is at all levels and concerned citizens from all walks of life.

here are 2 verses from this song written by Keith Carradine
The promise of America’s surrendering to greed
The rule is just look out for number one
But brace yourself ‘cause some of us have sown a different seed
A harvest of the spirit has begun

It’s clear my country’s soul is on the line
She’s hungering for something that she lost along the way
The principle the framers called upon us to obey
That in this land
The people’s will must have the upper hand"

Bless the citizens of Mohave County

To IQ above room temperature..

I'm reading in your comments the usual off thinking, or, probably, just the usual drivel that denies the truth in an attempt to muddy matters of import.

Let me be clear. The issue is not 'anti-government'. The issue is our elected government officers going against our laws, many of them, from local venue and on up to the Congress and White House.

The real and decades long revolution has been working in an insidious mode, until, recently, when a larger number of citizens woke up.

You, as an apologist for such behaviors as our town officers are exhibiting are a facilitator of this true overthrow of our government base, not, I and not those of us who want Law respected.

I am in total agreement Mr Consolato!

This city has a great deal of potential, but in my near seven years, here, all I find is a sad shell of a town with a crony mindset collective in office.

As an American and T.E.A. member, I support everyone's right to speak up and assemble peacefully, as is our right as citizens. We have valid questions, regarding, expenditure of our tax dollars, which, the town officers seem to want to avoid answering.

November is not far off and when presented with the ballot I shall proceed as usual - the person(s) who receives my votes will have a proven record as an inherent to and protector of, the US Constitution. There should be no other test, in my opinion.

Here is something that came in my email

Is It NBA Or NFL?

36 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses (with more businesses being added to the list daily)

3 have done time for assault

71, repeat 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 currently are defendants in lawsuits, and

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Neither, it's the 435 members of the United States Congress

The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

My first frustration is with the people who read this mans letter and have enough disrepect to tell him to "go back to where (he) came from". This man is a part of why we live the way we do! He put his [rear end] on the line for you and your family! And all you can do is sit around and tell him to go back to where he came from!!! My second frustration is with the fact that no one is taking this to the supreme court! I was born in Kingman and I hate to see how this town is being run into the ground. All anyone ever has to say about Kingman is it is a dirty truck stop town. That could be changed if we got the right leaders, but everyone is too afraid to go against any of these officials!! Come on people!!! Stand up and take charge!! This town is not how Lewis Kingman envisioned it I am sure. Instead of fighting and aruguing on-line, report [them] to the Supreme Court and keep pursuing it until someone listens to you!

It's good that people are willing to speak out here. I think this letter reflects the frustration on many. But are poeple willing to speak out at the council meetings and in front of our local leaders? Are they willing to show up for the meetings where vital decisions are being made?Too often our government leaders are out of touch. In a perfect world they would make time to listen, and be in our neighborhoods and stores. But in reality they often only hear the loudest voices that happen to be in front of them. We need to be in front of them and speak out.

Good for the We the People crowds. Now more than ever as our country move to act globally, we need to act locally. If we don't clean up our cities and towns and demand accountablitiy from our local goverments, Our larger rights will be lost. I live in CA across the river but I stand with anyone willing to fight to secure our Republic. A bunch of liberal/socialists calling us names will not stop responsible citizens from voicing their opinions and standing up for our country any longer.

"Sticks and Stones"

Dear County Manager Ron Walker and County Supervisor Tom Sockwell:

One things seems readily apparent in the ongoing controversy regarding the use of the County Building it 's pretty clear that neither of you officials got elected or hired for your intelligence but more than likely at the hand of special interest. While the law and practice of writing ordinances is a common acceptable procedure, you fool no one into thinking your true purpose was under the umbrella of Risk Management and Public Safety. The law was created to protect your own skins and to give you a sanctuary within to hide, because of your unethical behavior. Mr. Walker, it's no secret you almost wet your little panties when you saw the swell of peaceful protestors right in your face. Don't worry fellows, Sticks and Stones are never going to hurt you, but words will. Oh by the way, no one is stupid enough to believe you crafted anything but rather had the new ordinance written by attorneys paid for with public funds.

You make a bogus claim that it is your duty to make efficient use of taxpayer dollars but you have demonstrated you have no regard for tax payer dollars by your very actions. Had you engaged in proper conduct and much less arrogance you would have saved Mohave County a great deal of money, now unnecessarily being spent. You and your buddies are the prime movers of this controversy, NO ONE ELSE. So let's "make clear" using your words, that no matter what type of spin you use to try to transfer the blame for your mistakes and your actions, no one is buying it. You people started this not Mr. Luca Zanna nor the ground swell of protestors forming exponentially as you read this.

One thing we all agree upon is no one should be in fear. We all deserve an environment free of harassment and intimidation and that is the law of the land. Having said that and speaking for the good citizens of Mohave County, your very presence, the sight of your faces, the sound of your voices and your insistence to Walker, (excuse me I meant to say ) WALK all over our rights, is by far much more harassing and intimidating than any peaceful protest. As a testament to this, one had only to observe you snap your tiny fingers and have a good citizen arrested on some pretentious charge.

In closing I will agree with you once again. As history confirms itself, it IS too bad one or two spoil things for everyone else. In this case it was you Mr.Walker and You Mr.Sockwell that are the spoilers. WE also agree with Mr.Watson when he says "this is a sad situation". As a matter of fact it is so sad it is not going away until you do. The people are not going to wait for lengthy litigation while your misconduct fades away. The people have a huge portfolio of legal, peaceful actions which will make you curse the day you started this. If your duty is to efficiently manage County money and create an environment free of fear and intimidation, then your most prudent course of action is your immediate resignations.

name one "freedom" to do anything significant without smothering and costly Government interference/intimidation, which citizens of lesser countries don't have . Ooops, I forgot - the freedom to be surveillanced and imprisoned more than any other nation, and to pay for illegal wars based upon mass murder and lies. Great to be an American.
