Kingman Letter: Courts should serve us all

It seems to me that our laws and courts are being bought by lawless people. And Congress is too blind and retarded to see what is going on with our legal system.

My question to all of you is this: Are you going to sit back and not say anything about it?

That tells me that our country better wake up and see what is going on.

Let's take a stand right here and right now before it's too late!

We need our courts to work for the middle and small class people and not the super rich people.

Sure Kenny, in this age of internet and instant social media we only now are experiencing corruption of any level in this country, with only our hands tied behind our back as we accept our fate.

if you're mad then get yourself some concrete, honest-to-God proof and let it go viral!

If you have no proof then you're saying that someone should be found guilty until innocent.

Did we forget what country we live in?

the only people who should comment here are those who have had the distinctly unpleasant experience of not being able to confidently tell the truth in a courtroom as a defendant. A courtroom is the very closest thing we have to the absolute tyrannies of history - you are one disagreement away, however slightly expressed, from incarceration. And to think that police and other government crime put you into that position (or at least comprised much of the context) in the first place. But this is LaLa land, and we don't talk about government CRIME, do we?

There isn't much justice in the America of today. People's lives are destroyed by the justice system for doing little, other's who commit terrible crimes go free.

People are put on probation for years on end for committing misdemeanors. This is to keep jobs for those within the system. I know. A close friend worked in that system for years until the pressure of seeing the justice system going to hell forced that person to retire early or lose their health.

A close family member committed a misdemeanor...accidently, I might add. He paid a fine as was requested but they came back after him, upped it to two felonies, threw him in jail and he has been there six months without legal assistance in a far away state where we are unable to even see him. Hard to believe in the America of today. He has no money for a real attorney, the one provided is a joke.

Nearly every letter I write him has been returned with a note that makes no sense like no stamps allowed. I sent no stamps, put no extra stamps on the envelope.

One said pictures sent were wrong size. I sent no pictures. Frankly, I never know if he is dead or alive.

Frances Perkins:

You always bring up the rich and super rich, then insinuate they are on the right.

You never mention super rich Hollywood stars, almost exclusively far, far left. You never seem to realize obama poisons your mind, pitting rich against poor when his biggest donors were the super rich of America.

Try reading The New Leviathan by David Horowitz and get your facts straight. The book is FILLED with facts and figures that completely wipe our your false beliefs about the rich in America.

You shouldn't allow the lies of obama to taint your thinking until doing some real research. Reminds me of the Germans believing Hitler.

First off, the term "retarded" is a no - no.
Secondly, embrace differences. Don't begrudge someone for making the most of their life, and then taking advantage of their success. In the U.S.A. you can become wealthy also.

Why? We had a Presidential candidate for and by the super rich. We have Alito and Scalia, andThomas for the super rich. What's wrong with that?

Don't worry Kenny we did something about that already, we elected President Obama for another four years. If the Republican party will stop obstructing and bring some new ideas to the table maybe they will survive until the next election. But don't hold your breath Kenny.

Article comment by: And Justice For Some....

It has always been a known fact that if you have money you can buy your own justice. When you check the prisons it is very seldom that you will find the super rich there. They buy the most expensive attorney and manage to by their Justice. If they are sitting in a cell you can be certain that they are making money while they are there. It has always been that poor people take the fall and the rich walk. Look at Matha Stewart, Linsey Lohan and Trish Groe just to name a few. It is never going to change. Face it the rich live by a different set of rules. If you want some thing you just buy it, including justice.

They like to sit back and say nothing in this county. If you are politically connected here or someone's buddy, they will let you roam freely when you have been charged with something that would get you locked up anywhere else in the world.
