Kingman Lettter: Leave RUFFF alone

Kudos to Betsy Senn regarding her inspirational and truthful letter in the Nov. 30 Miner! Why can't people leave Hillary Allison and Rescue Unwanted Furry Friends Foundation alone? She is out there in the middle of nowhere, minding her own business, only trying to give back half the love to her animals that they give to her. Isn't it bad enough she lost her husband?

We have Americans dying in Benghazi, al-Qaida threats, war in Israel, and Dolores Milkie is concerned over dirt versus sand? Come on! Let's keep our priorities straight! We the people spoke on Election Day and defeated this ridiculous decree. Why not leave well enough alone? These dogs are already under duress due to handicaps and other issues. Why cause them even more stress being transported from their kennels, the only place they know as home, until hopefully they have forever homes?

Hillary Allison has helped me in the past when no one else would. She is wholly dedicated to her cause. All she wants to do is love and help her animals. Please leave her alone and concentrate on your own lives and the important issues there.

Let her dogs live peacefully in the only place they have ever called home until their time to pass comes along.

Joan Gadbaw

The issue, B Doyle, is that the others are NOT following the "rules". The county is making Ms. Allison jump thru hoops that others do not. This is all about a personal vendetta, plain and simple. You see, B, RUFFF is not a kennel, not a humane society, not a shelter even..it is a sanctuary. A sanctuary where most of these animals are not wanted, have no chance of being adopted, and are there to live out their days. There are no "rules" on the books for sanctuaries. The county is spending YOUR tax money on this ridiculous, unnecessary battle.

So what you are saying is that because this individual is doing something that you find admirable that she should not be required to follow the laws like everybody else? We ALL should be equally responsible under the laws, and causing certain people or groups of people to no be responsible to certain laws for reasons of sentimentality is fairly foolish
