Kingman Letters: Let us know what you find

Soooo, Mr. Hall, here's your hat. What's your hurry? And don't let the door hit you in the butt. [Letters, "Not Staying in Kingman," Jan. 3]

Really, where do you think you'll find a town or city without drugs, murder, theft, etc.? When you do, please let us all know and maybe we'll follow you.

Because of all the drugs brought into this country they're prevalent all over. Kingman is made up of different personalities, good and bad, as well as other cities, so good luck as you find your new home. Kingman is a nice town with beautiful weather and the most majestic mountains surrounding it.

Take a good look. You might find something you like.

There is only one place on planet earth you can get more then 50 people together and never have fights, anger, greed, lies, crime, and drugs.

The only place is the CEMETARY. And we All get there in time.

So I guess its a choice to act like a decent person or be as despicible as humanly possible in your short time on this rock. It all comes down to Personal Responsibility and Self Esteem. Two things that have become lacking more as the decades fly by. Geography or location has absolutely nothing to do with it.

What a mean and vicious letter. Mr. Hall's letter was not vicious. He stated what he experienced here and his decision to move.

"Kingman is made up of different personalities, good and bad, ..." We certainly got a glimpse into the personality of this writer.

Kingman does have good and bad. Unfortunately we will never grow our good and eliminate our bad without examining ourselves critically. As a resident of Kingman for more than 30 years, I have become just as frustrated with Kingman's progress and composition as Mr. Hall. I have decided to stay and work to improve our community being involved in boards, volunteer actions, etc. I want to live in a town that shows compassion and is respectful of all opinion. I only wish Mr Hall well in his pursuit. And if he ends up deciding to give Kingman a second chance, know he is welcome to join us in making a better community.

"When you do, please let us all know and maybe we'll follow you."

Why in the world would anyone divulge the location of such a place that would allow it to be inundated with ... well, you know?
