Kingman Letter: Thanks to Kingman Regional Medical Center

I would like to thank the staff of doctors, nurses and aides at Kingman Regional Medical Center for the excellent care they gave me the weeks of Nov. 30 though Dec. 14.

I am grateful for all you did for me - the food was good, the staff was friendly and caring. It was a life-changing experience.

“… sold out to WellCare and immediantly Obama Care set in.”

Nope, the ACA has nothing to do with your private insurer.

“Out of seven medicines the nw company only alllowed two. They have refused to pay for my nitroglycerin, dilantin, Belladonna, diuretics, and Lyrica … Just more Obama care.”

Again incorrect information. The ACA has nothing to do with what medications your insurance company will cover.

Sounds like you need to change insurers rather than blaming the actions of a Death Panel oriented insurance company on the ACA.

The 1st of January our medicare company(Desert Canyon) sold out to WellCare and immediantly Obama Care set in. Out of seven medicines the nw company only alllowed two. They have refused to pay for my nitroglycerin, dilantin, Belladonna, diuretics, and Lyrica. These are for my heart, seizures and my stomach, after having colon cancer. They want me to try new meds, rather than meds I have used for ten years that work. I have already tried all the meds they want me to try and they do not work. Just more Obama care. I am 74 and can not afford to purchase the expensive meds, to the tune of over $1000 dollars. After meds I will have $15.00 left to pay rent, utilities, food etc..In 2014 it will be worse. I paid into Social Security and Medicare for 55 years. If that money would have stated in Sociaxl Security rather than used by Democrats for the general fund, there would be no problems. I hope that those who voted for Obama realize what they have done, to their parentS AND LATER ON THEMSELVES.

Even tho I agree with you that the staff was friendly and the food was good, I have one gripe with the hospital....a big one!
We had to take my wife out of the hospital because we did not agree with the procedure they wanted to do, which could have killed her.
In doing so we had to sign a waiver against medical advice and when we did so, we could not even get any help to get my wife down stairs to a vehicle to take her to Phoenix.
It shocked me that a hospital could be so uncaring at such a critical moment.
After getting my wife to the specialists, they said that they were shocked that Kingman wanted to do the procedure which is the very last thing that should have been done.
I looked all over the floor my wife was on for a wheel chair and evidently they had them hidden and I or I should say we practically had to carry her out to a waiting vehicle, but your right, the food was good.
Make sure and always get a second opinion as it may save someones life!
