Letter: Spay/neuter effort successful

We wanted to thank the community and supporters for working with us at the Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic in the month of January to be able to spay/neuter 487 dogs and cats! That's a whole lot of animals. Dr. Taylor Ciccone, the staff and volunteers worked hard to make it all happen and together we prevented many future unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.

During January, we had a Neuter-A-Thon in which we offered $10 male cat neuters to the public and neutered 153. The event was made possible by anonymous donors in the community who donated funds/items. We also had support from local businesses: Petsmart, Diamond Brothers Jewelers, Bulldog Disposal and Recycling, Kingman Regional Medical Center and Cupcakes and More by Jan.

We could not have accomplished this without the support of all the pet owners out there. Each one of you scheduled and brought in your dogs/cats, strays and rescues to be spayed/neutered. Thank you for helping us to be able to reduce pet overpopulation in this area! Let's not stop yet. Spring is coming and we need to continue to stay focused on the mission to spay/neuter more.

If there are any other donors in the community who would like to make a donation or would like to contribute to future events, you can do so by stopping by the clinic or make your checks out to: Low Cost Spay/Neuter Foundation (100 percent of the donations go back to the care of the animals in your community). We are an approved 501(c)(3) in the state of Arizona and tax receipts can be provided upon request.

For more information, call the clinic at (928) 692-5226 or visit us online at www.LowCostSpayNeuterAZ.org.

Have to echo it ... "Thank you Dr. Taylor Ciccone, the staff and volunteers", for your efforts to do what so few seem to want to do, but should do.
