Letter: Spoiled brat

Wow, what a great guy, that president Obama! He's acting like a spoiled little brat who didn't get his way. How about his canceling the White House tours while spending multimillions for golf outings and Michelle's multimillion dollar city tours and, oh yeah ... millions for Malia Obama's trip to have dinner with friends in New York.

Got to be happy with the Homeland Security releasing thousands of illegal aliens, already slated for deportation, many picked up while committing crimes!

Man, it's got to be embarrassing to be a Democrat these days, while trying to act like your man in the White House is the greatest man to ever to walk this Earth!

Do I have to say...don't count me among his worshipers?

David Gaither

Article comment by: Now Try To Understand NO WMDs FOUND - GW LIED

The Root needs to study history. Yes, Saddam gassed the Kurds. And he was forced by the international community to destroy his stockpiles. And ya, as it turned out Saddam told us the truth when he said there were no WMDs and Bush administration lied when they said "we know where they are".

“one, it is verifiable!!!! easily verifiable at that!!”

And yet you have been unable – through numerous posts – to verify it. Why is that? Once agin, simply bacuse you post something will never make it a fact.

“two, you stated that under hitler there were more guns than previously, when guns were virtually outlawed...neat, what does that matter?”

And now you admit that what I posted was correct and follow with, “what does that matter?” well, Teeje, it matters because the righties keep saying Hitler took away the guns and that is what Obama wants to do – both of which are bald-faced lies! THAT is why it “matters.”

As for Herman Cain, he can buy and sell a hundred "47% persons like you.

Still have not learned that every sentence does not end with an exclamation point I see.

“I provided FORTY far left wing groups Soros owns or supports, only to have it not appear here.”

Of course “it didn’t appear.” How about just giving us the source of your information? And then we will be able to verify it’s veracity.

“Soros funds at least 250 left wing organizations, owning some of them.”

Odd how I cannot find any proof of that. Source please, thank you.

“The Koch's are NO WHERE NEAR THAT and I know what each of Soro's groups do and they are as far, far left as you could imagine…”

So it’s all right for the Koch’s to fund far, far right wing nuttiness? Got it.

“… right up to overthrowing the US government.”

Pure hyperbolic nonsense. Provide proof or retract it!

I am not arguing against it, I am pointing that you’re making a non-verifiable statement does not make it a FACT.

“and youre stating that germans had more guns than when guns were outlawed virtually...okay fine.”

Au contraire, unlike you I provided evidence indicating there were more weapons during the reign of Hitler than previously.

”and exactly, the jews were prohibited from owning guns and were shortly thereafter slaughtered. my point exactly. thank you again for proving it.”

And where did you come up with the idea that I made any statement indicating that Jews being unarmed was not partially responsible for the ensuing slaughter? There was no point to prove there, that is an historical fact.

I provided FORTY far left wing groups Soros owns or supports, only to have it not appear here. Forty was all the word count would allow - I have at least 200 more and I don't mean donate $50 to each, I'm talking hundreds of thousands to multiple millions.

As I ended the post that did not appear, for you low infos to always diss on the Koch Brothers is an absolute joke when Soros funds at least 250 left wing organizations, owning some of them. The Koch's are NO WHERE NEAR THAT and I know what each of Soro's groups do and they are as far, far left as you could imagine right up to overthrowing the US government.

“Anson, not ‘everyone’ was armed..provide proof…”

I apologize for the hyperbole, I was in error in using the pronoun “everyone.” I will stand by my statement that Germans were armed to a greater degree following Hitler’s ascension to power than during any time in German history.

“And yes, its a fact that any modern day dictatorship is backboned by gun control. China, cuba, venezuela, N. korea!!!! Thats a FACT anson so theres your proof!”

And now who is being hyperbolic? Simply because you have posted something does not - in any way – make it a “fact.”

“And you have no proof that more people were armed under hitler than any other time in german history.”

In 2004 University of Chicago law professor Bernard Harcourt wrote a paper expalining Nazi Germany's impact on the American culture wars. As World War I drew to a close, the new Weimar Republic government banned all private gun ownership to comply with the Treaty of Versailles and mandated that all guns and ammunition "be surrendered immediately." The law was relaxed in 1928, and gun permits were granted to citizens "of undoubted reliability" (in the law's words) but not "persons who are itinerant like Gypsies." In 1938, under Nazi rule gun laws became significantly relaxed. Rifle and shotgun possession was deregulated, and gun access for citizens, Nazi Party members, and government officials was expanded with the legal age to own a gun being lowered. At this time more Germans owned firearms than any time in the nation’s history. Jews, however, were prohibited from owning firearms and other dangerous weapons.

“Anyways, like i said, i await all real responses, not ones that arent even true and just beg for links to internet sites.”

And there you go! Enjoy.

@AN.....While I disagree with some of your views, I certainly do not dispute your oftentimes-accurate research. Sometimes, however, there are truths which are lost amidst even accurate research. I believe that statement applies to the gay marriage topic (you accurately state, in another thread, the growing nationwide support for gay marriage . Nonetheless, absent in those statistics is what nurtured that support - a hijacked educational system, agenda-driven media, etc.). If, as an intelligent older man, you know or should know this sort of thing and continue in a narrow line of statistics- or other reference-driven advocacy, people like myself can determine not to be withered away by your postings. Regarding Monsanto, space has not allowed me here to bring up other alarming information. This is a reference to broadly-worded legislation which would enable Government to target natural foods producers - Monsanto's competitors. I believe that a picture is emerging across the broad spectrum of this country, of total control by Government and their allies in business. What concerns me about your postings is that, by the time this can be proven - as you always demand - it may be too late. You were in the military and must know something about strategy.

@AN.....I don't enjoy redundancy in stating facts, but will answer you on the count of practicing deception. The deception is being practiced by Monsanto and their (admittedly Republican, in some cases) allies. But President Obama is exactly that - the President. He can refuse to sign off on legislation which contains harmful provisions (he could have declined the Nobel Peace Prize as well, , which he did not deserve). Harry Truman's slogan was "the buck stops here". While my previous singular focus on Obama may have seemed unfair to you, in the end it was his signature which finalized the legislation's progress into law. And - for the sake of fairness here - would you please spend some time reviewing the alarming research findings available online, regarding Monsanto's seedlings, the devastating results of these products in countries such as India (200,000 farmers have committed suicide as Monsanto's promises proved hollow), and their future plans? I should think, in the event, that we could place the welfare of this country and other countries' populations above relatively cheap bickering.

“… although I should have realised that, as a rabid Obama supporter, you would pounce on this perceived oversight.”

Perceived oversight? You stated the following as a fact, “Obama just signed the Monsanto Protection Act.” There was no “perceived oversight” there, you attempted to mislead into thinking the president signed a bill that would protect Monsanto.

I accurately pointed out that there was no such bill as the “Monsanto Protection Act” and that the heinous portion of the bill (HR933), section 735, had been placed in the spending bill by Republicans protecting their corporate whoremasters. And that the president – again thanks to the Republicans – had to sign the bill because he does not have a line-item veto.

“Quit shilling for Obama, and join those who are trying to save this country from wanton ruin at the behest of pathological profiteers.”

So you did not read – or if you did, you did not comprehend - the following portion of my post, “I am not at all pleased with this provision of the bill but am not at all surprised the Republicans inserted such a miserable piece of garbage designed to protect their corporate masters.”

So tell me, exactly where did I shill for Obama? Be accurate.

Please make an attempt to keep up. What is being discussed are the WMD reported by The Criminal and his minions as the reason to go to war with a country that posed no actual threat to us.

We are not discussing the WMD that were given to Hussein by Ronald the Dim and Bush the Father of The Criminal and expended long before 2003.

And yet you glossed over the fact that everybody else agreed with snopes on this story. Why is that?

As to Soros, that old song and dance has been disproven time and again, why do you keep trying to push that lie? As usual, you say you have proof but never come across with it, makes you look foolish again. Keep the hits coming.

And yes, snopes does cite sources when possible. And they are credible articles, but think what you choose.

@AN.....Before posting my comments on the Monsanto Act, I had become very well-versed in its presentation as a rider to the overall bill. I meant to keep things simple here, although I should have realised that, as a rabid Obama supporter, you would pounce on this perceived oversight. It's shocking and unprincipled that you should do so, given the ramifications of the Monsanto provision. All Americans should thoroughly appraise themselves of the horrible presumptions and consequences of this piece of legislation. It is nothing short of a criminal assault upon our biological makeup. Even the scientists involved cannot predict all the effects of tampering with our DNA and other biological features. Some idea can be gained from the deformed creatures found downstream of Monsanto facilities, and those administered Monsanto seedling products in laboratories (how is it that you ignored these grave allegations in my prior comments, before stumping for Obama?). Quit shilling for Obama, and join those who are trying to save this country from wanton ruin at the behest of pathological profiteers.

I have forgotten what you have even said about Patterson, that he didn't write the story (he did) or it didn't appear in the Post (it did) but you seem to miss the elephant in the room.

It is about WHAT HE SAID THAT IS IMPORTANT. Get it??

And I posted his credentials. Did you just ignore them too? How convenient for you. Skip the meat of the story, go to some side crap that has no bearing on anything.

Same old bait and switch you always use. Now we are arguing about Snopes and where Patterson ran the story instead of the SUBSTANCE OF THE STORY.

Go argue with yourself. I have a house to decorate for an Easter party.

Poor Linda the birtherism thing fizzled, now she is trying her hand at prophet, psychic, Historian! I doubt history will write much on the birtherism thing other than it was a fringe of American society who just could accept the fact a non-white fellow won the white house not once but twice! I cannot guess or predict what historians will write about President Obama but he will have a presidential library, many books will be written, and all those whom hate, despise him for no other reason than their personal prejudices will be nothing more than a lonely grave stone in some insignificant grave yard forgotten by all except their loved ones!

Sorry, but you have made yourself look kinda silly again.

“Certain people were, armed anson, certain people.”

No, everyone EXCEPT Jews were armed – curious how you left that little tidbit out. And yet my statement stands – more people were armed under Hitler than at any time in the history of Germany.

“Made possible by the registration of all firearms.”

I will now ask that you provide empirical evidence of that statement because I cannot find it. Thank you.

“Now if any liberal here can just admit, that EVERY, SINGLE modern dictatorship is backboned by gun regulations of the public,..”

Afraid not. Neither myself nor you can provide solid evidence of any such statement.

“I expect no real response, so i wont hold my breath very long”

You always make these ridiculous parting comments when you know full well I will always respond to you and prove you wrong every time. Why do you do that?

Lastly....Snopes, whenever possible, cites their sources. Something you never seem to do. Are they correct all the time, no. Nobody is, not even you.
