Letter: We've got more disagreeing to do

Lori Gabriel-Dane, you and I have never met. We have disagreed on absolutely everything.

However, I was very sorry to hear that you have had a heart attack and hope you have a speedy recovery. I want to wish you the very best.

Mrs. Dane
Sorry to hear about your heart problem and I wish you a fast recovery.
After reading these well wishers letters, it made me wonder if Democrats would respond to a Republican the same way?
I guess we should ask Ronald Reagan and Margret thatcher what they thought of the lefts send off....huh?

Lori,

This is not something I am NOT proud of but, feel compelled to share with you as I completely understand the medical bill issue!!
I married in Feb.1966, was covered under my Dad prior through Blue Cross Blue Shield, continued that coverage under my X and for 371/2 years remained so. When he retired after 351/2 years as Ariz. D.P.S Sgt. in 2003 he divorced me & was able to drop me from his state employee ins program. My attorney was working on a QUDRO which has to be extremely precise, so until the Qudro was done , signed by judge, accepted by the PSPRS my X was giving me aprox. $1600 per month(that may seem to some pretty good), there was no way I could pay $700 per for COBRA out of that and live. The divorce was final Aug. 18th,2003--the QUDRO not totally completed and implemented until April 2004. Having had pre-existing ie kidney failure,Valley fever, T.B.(contracted when worked at jail) and other past issues I could not get coverage in 2004. Had first heart attack superbowl Sunday 2004-I paid out of pocket that cost and thousands besides for med.. In 2011 after attempting every which waybut loose--had to concede my only option was filing a Chapter 13 medical bankruptcy( I still cry thinking of it as I am now ), Like you over $100,000 in med. debt no way could I do that. What makes me Sooo blasted mad is the fact the state allows through divorce this to happen and yet Janet Napolitan just prior to leaving for D.C. signed an excutive order Allowing Same Sex state employees to cover one another as long as they sign an affidavit stating they have been together for (1)one year!! I have No use for can't stand Janet Napolitano!! I am ashamed of myself for screwing hard working taxpaying Arizonans out of their tax dollars- still wrack my brain whether or not could've done something other!

To Amaryllis Smith:

Thank you. I only had the one heart attack (that was enough for me). I am supposed to have bypass surgery, but I am putting that off as long as I can. I had a stent put in, so for now, the doc told me there's no hurry for the bypass on the other two partially blocked arteries as long as I stay on Plavix. But I may decide it is not worth having it done. Just having the stent put in and a 4-day stay in the hospital has cost over $100,000. I can't even imagine what it would cost for a double bypass. I'm on medicare with no supplemental insurance. I'll be dead long before I ever get these bills paid off. lol Oh well. I hope you are doing well after your heart attack. Best wishes to you, and again, thank you.

Lori, you and I had previously discussed each of us having had a heart attack. If this is a subsiquent one for I wish you all the best and even though my sentiments echo those of Sandee Samoska, I will keep you in my thoughts and hoping also for speedy recovery.

I know some of these comments on here, if you let them can cause the blood to boil. Always be true to yourself and open enough to agree to simply disagree.
Best Wishes

To Sandee Samoska:

Thank you for your well wishes. I would love to disagree with you more on just about everything, but I made a promise to myself that I would no longer submit letters or respond to anything political, simply for my own peace of mind. I believe what I believe, and you believe what you believe, and that is as it should be. Nothing either one of us could say would ever change the other's mind. So it is best to leave it at that. Again, thank you for your well wishes.
