Kingman letters: Dani's world has changed

My daughter, Dani, was diagnosed with AML Leukemia the day after her 14th birthday. Five days later, after the leukemia had infiltrated her lungs and caused severe pneumonia, she had to be put in a drug-induced coma and put on life support.

She is now three days out of the coma and fighting her way back from chemo and the effects of the coma and pneumonia. On April 28, her friends are raising money at the Taco Bell on Stockton Hill Road to help my daughter save money for her future, which has been dramatically altered. She will forever be disabled with medical problems. The world has changed for all of her family forever.

Be diligent, Moms and Dads, in questioning what you know in your heart to be amiss with your child. Never stop listening to your children - no matter what someone tells you.

Ten Million dollars of hope, That figure represents a dollar amount a, friend of mine receive from ST JUDE in the form of free treatment and housing when he's young daughter of two was diagnosis with leukemia.

She is still with us today three years later, All i know for certain he and he's wife packed up one night, went to St Jude shortly after learning of their child diagnosis. Where they were housed and supported in so many ways It boggled my mind.

How they were accepted is something i cannot answer all i can say "it Happen". So please contact them and go from there, may God be with you and your daughter.

P.S. St Jude in my mind cannot be duplicated when it come's to helping children. If what i have written here today does not happen for you. Please post it here in the miner.
