Letter of thanks: Tom Sheahan

It is with great pleasure that I am announcing the huge success of the Seventh Annual Mohave County Sheriff's Office K-9 Car Show fundraiser. The 2013 car show event, held Nov. 3 at the Mohave Market Place, 5480 Highway 95, raised $13,403.45 for our K-9 program.

Ed Vega and Suze Jaeger, the owners of Mohave Market Place, again allowed us to utilize their location for the 136 car entries.

I would like to thank the following businesses/individuals for their support. Some gave money, and others donated time, materials and services. Our success is directly tied to these organizations/individuals and their tireless dedication to the K-9 program. Ed and Suze at the Mohave Market Place; the volunteers who handled registration, T-shirt sales, auction, 50/50 tickets, etc.; the businesses and individuals who donated the items for auction; the Sheriff's Posse Volunteers; Cameron Broadcasting; Neil Young at the Mohave Daily News; The River Cruizers not only donated $2,000, they also allowed us the use of their sound system; Kenny Gray and Ray Hetrick for being our D.J.'s; Auctioneers Kenny Gray and Jim Barnes donated their time and expertise and we thank them as well. Last but not least, thanks to everyone who entered a car into the show and those who bought 50/50 tickets, T-shirts, etc. A special thank you goes to my executive assistant, Linda Mulhall, for all of her efforts in coordinating the event.

Once again, our gratitude and undying appreciation go to Chuck and Karen Pangus. These are two of the hardest working, dedicated individuals I have the pleasure of knowing. They work tirelessly from the beginning of the year to make the car show a success. Their commitment and devotion to the K-9 Program is never-ending and our meager thank you seems small compared to what they contribute to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
