The Obama apocalypse is upon us
Scott Dunton
local columnist

Barack Obama has been re-elected. Say goodbye to hope for America, because change is here.

Taxes will go up, businesses will be bogged down with regulations, the size of government will increase further. Our utilities will skyrocket as we are stuck with wind and solar boondoggles.

We will not be allowed to use our gas, oil or coal for affordable energy, leaving us unable to compete in manufacturing, and unable to protect our country in the event of a war - unable, even, to put our people to work. We will be totally dependent on buying oil and borrowing money from our enemies!

We have a president who has not had a budget in three years, printing and spending money we borrow from China (and ourselves). Soon our dollar will be worth nothing. We will be obligated to pay entitlements (that we have no money to pay) that were traded for votes. Our cities, states and the federal government will need hundreds of trillions of dollars in bailouts, which will make our dollar worth nothing.

Obama will be able to stack the Supreme Court with liberals, which will allow them to take away our rights. The right to free speech and the right to bear arms will be gone.

Obamacare will put every insurance company out of business. It will lead to a single-payer system, which is exactly what was planned from the start. It will be the end of the world's best medical care.

Please realize that Obama has never created a single job, has never signed a paycheck and despises capitalism. I believe he went to school as a foreign student, probably financed by Bill Ayers' parents. He says he was a Marxist in college. He refuses to tell us about his questionable Social Security number and won't release his college transcripts.

He was a community organizer for ACORN and he is proud of it and still loves and supports ACORN. His preacher, who married him and mentored him, is famous for saying, "God damn America." Rev. Wright should make him proud.

Obama continues to alienate countries such as Great Britain and Israel, our friends, while helping the Muslim Brotherhood take over the Middle East. Are the voters concerned about the hundreds of visits to the White House by the terrorists in the Muslim Brotherhood?

How can we have a president, Secretary Of State Clinton and Secretary of Defense Panetta all lying about the attack in Libya? The cowards abandoned four American heroes and let them be killed and want to cover it up.

We have a president who is destroying America and our economy while helping our enemies, the radical Muslims and communists. He is bent on changing America forever. We are the most amazing country in the history of the world, the only truly free country in the world. We may have lost it all forever with one election.

"And no Chuckles, it doesn't kill me. What kills me are the duped that think obama is a messiah when in reality he is destroying the greatest country on earth."

It always seems that whenever you point out that the only evidence that there was fraud points to the Republicans, Linda changes the subject! It's like she knows it, but won't give you the satisfaction knowing that she knows it.

I know one sure fact, Obama is oppressing the far right wing nuts! (Oh, I made a funny, Wing Nuts) Until you get over the fact that Romney lost, and is now being oppressed by his own party and running mate, that you will always be the odd man out.

“Only in your world is a FACT....A Blame.”

In my world a fact is a fact always and if that fact leads to blame, then so be it.

Revisionist history? I think not, Athens. The incidents noted in this prestigious Smithsonian article come straight from the journals, diaries, ledgers and account books of Thomas Jefferson in his own hand.

Anson, if you want to get something posted you need to "speak" Republican or at least show a little support otherwise you "ARE" the enemy and your statements are not conducive to the agenda.

“I wrote a letter to the Editor outlining some of the fraud. So far, they have not printed it. WHY NOT MINER? The election is long past.”

Your massively incorrect comments about election fraud have been posted here – more than once. And each one has been debunked and it was also pointed out that the only verifiable voter fraud was done by the Republicans. Why don’t you ever post that fact?

@ Root

“Please show me where I blamed Obama for the DOW.”

And you wrote, “Do not forget the little drop that put it at 6,469 in 09. So, Obama's watch had the lowest DOW in 12 years.”

@Anson.
Please show me where I blamed Obama for the DOW. I'll wait. I also like how you glossed completely over the PM/Dollar ratio,
What's your explanation for the massive jump in gold and silver prices under Obama? Let me guess, you'll say that gold and silver prices rising against the dollar is a good thing for the economy.

And not an indicator of impending collapse. I guess you need to re-live history, circa 1929

The ONLY cases of fraud in this last election so far have been from the Republicans, and that must kill you.

Fortunately, the land does not elect the President, the People do. The majority of the people voted for Obama, and that just kills you LoLoL

The real reason Mr. Romney lost the election. He changed his views on every major issue to placate the far right wing of the party to win the nomination which made him at least seem like he was selling out to appease these people. Also if it was just about fiscal responsibility Republicans could win but you also get all the crazy social issues. Republicans want to be in. They want no regulation on businesses but want to tell people how they should live their lives. Also maybe nominating people like Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock probably don't help. When intelligent people here them spout their ingnorance they will vote for any one bu a Republican.

"Obama did not win the election. He stole it. Provable." Please provide 1 reputable news organization[not the usual crazies you quote] that proves this statement. Mr Horowitz when confronted and asked where his brother in law lives and this fraud took place called the person a few names then ended the interview. Why does this paper keep printing these obviously false and none proven statements. The truth hurts the only proven voter fraud in the 2012 election was in Fla. where the Republican Party tried to suppress the vote.

“DOW is not a indicator of market strength, just volume and amount of trades.”

So why do so many right wing loons blame Obama when the Dow drops? The dichotomy present on the right is amazingly difficult to follow – you flip and flop more than Willard the Money Hider on health care and abortion. And yes, I did pass Econ 201, it would appear that you may had a problem with actually comprehending the subject.

Tomchin:

You should by now be able to recognize revisionist history. No such stories are true of Jefferson.

Put it in the garbage bin along with the lies about him fathering a black child which was disproved by Jefferson ancestors and DNA BUT NO LIBERAL NEWS SOURCES REPORTED THAT.

A child was born to a black girl by a Jefferson male. Maybe more than one. There were 200 Jefferson males living within 200 miles of Thomas Jefferson. Sally Hemmings named her children after THAT line of the Jefferson's, the one who actually fathered her child, not Thomas Jefferson.

They had unusual names and her children had the exact same names. Truth used to actually mean something but anymore you can't even go with it because liberals just continue to deny truth, even when it is shown to them thru DNA.

@Ed Tomchin....yeah, and when Cornwallis rode upon Monticello, Jefferson barely escaped on a horse, after dithering over the wine cellar and his lofty papers while the friend who arrived with the warning grew ever more exasperated. Oh, and you left out the part about Jefferson and elementary-aged black girls. Imagine the headline if it happened today - "Leading war hawk politician flees on horseback from the enemy amidst child sex allegations", or something like that.

Here is a story about a man revered in American history: Thomas Jefferson. That he wrote the words "all men are created equal" is as vile a deception and hypocrisy as any in this nation's history.

His Olympian mansion, Monticello, hid the ravages of his enslavement of blacks. He broke up families by selling some of them in order to stock his wine cellar. He beat his slaves and even murdered one to put the fear of misbehavior into others. It's a chilling and disgusting piece of our history that we should never forget.

@ Anson.

Basic economics fail you. Just what was gold and silver at in 08? Gold went from a low of 600/Troy in 07, to 850 first Qtr of 08, to a high of 1200/Troy in 09. When PM prices go up, the dollar they are valued against is dropping. Same with the DOW. DOW is not a indicator of market strength, just volume and amount of trades. An artificially inflated DOW(like we have now), is not an indication of market recovery. The wild swings from sub 10,000 to over 13,000 in the last few months proves that. If you passed Econ 201, you would know this.

“Looks to me that the majority of the country voted Red.”

Uhh, no the majority of VOTERS voted blue and that is what counts.

“Do not forget the little drop that put it at 6,469 in 09. So, Obama's watch had the lowest DOW in 12 years. More poof of the disillusionment of the Left.”

Actually the low was 6547.05 on 9 March 2009. The lowest under The Criminal was 8218 on Obama’s inauguration day a 40% drop in one year. So I was off slightly by stating the following, “Dow is over 13,000 (nearly double what it was The Criminal was escorted out of the White House),” when the actual figure is closer to a 40% increase since The Criminal left office (I apologize for the hyperbole) and a 50.6% increase since Obama’s low point (figures based on today’s closing).

However there is no doubt that under Obama the Dow has soared and your refusal to recognize that point is just sour grapes.

You really expect us to believe the Dow was @ 6500 when Bush was in office?
Dow was at 8,279 when Obama was put into office.
Do not forget the little drop that put it at 6,469 in 09. So, Obama's watch had the lowest DOW in 12 years.

"FEMA trailers sit unused in New Jersey"!

It's absolutely ridiculous for people complaining that they have no place to stay, to demand that FEMA deliver these assets to their properties that "were destroyed or distressed". I guess they can't think in NJ.
