11/26/2012 6:00:00 AM Kingman Letter: Thanks for supporting the Pumpkin Patch
I'd like to take this time to express my most sincere appreciation to the city of Kingman for your support of the Pumpkin Patch pumpkin sales held at the St. John's United Methodist Church. As many of you know, this fundraiser benefits our youth group for scholarships that enable our youth to attend mission trips and other activities throughout the year. It's our biggest revenue generator for the year and you didn't disappoint us.
Thanks to you, Kingman, we sold all of our pumpkins by the evening of Oct. 29. Sadly, we didn't get the re-supply of pumpkins that we were anticipating, otherwise we would have sold even more. In all, our youth raised over $2,000 this year. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this possible through your tireless support and participation.
I'd like to especially thank Steve Hockingberry and Les Miller. These two manned the patch every weekday during the entire event. Our town rocks!
