Kingman Letter: Volunteers restored faith

I showed up this Thanksgiving morning as a volunteer for the Kingman Elks to help deliver a meal to people in need and I was very surprised to see that there were easily more than 100 other people there as well wanting to help. The turnout was such that my faith in the people of our small town has been reborn.

While those in attendance were just a small portion of the total Kingman populace, it was heartening to see so many there to help those who would otherwise go without a warm Thanksgiving meal. It makes me very happy to be a part of such a great community as ours. I am thankful that so many people showed up to help.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

The Meals were made by Meals on Wheels and were handed out to the volunteers for delivery at The Gardens Rehab and Care Center.

I am sorry I did not put that information in to begin with.

That is great! Where did the meals come from anyway? Cooked at the Elks or what.

Heartwarming! Thanks for sharing.
