Kingman letters: Say 'no' to utility rate hike

After I read that our power rates are going up again in the near future, because UniSource has petitioned again to do so, I was thinking about all the equipment and manpower that I am seeing about the city and how that is really nice to put into place all necessary repairs, additions to a business and knowing that all that is needed to cover costs, plus more, is to raise our rates.

Well, UniSource must do as all of us and cover their own costs as anyone else, such as from within. Examples are: pay cuts, layoffs, benefit cuts.

Oh, high and mighty power companies, just say "No" to utility rate increases. Enough is now enough!

I don't know about the rest of you people from kingman but I'm sick of the people from unisourse raising our rates. I just got a water bill and it went up another $10.00 for their so called sewage . Please give me a break it's just another rip off to the people. When was the last time those idiots did anything to help the people. We need to pass a bill to put a CAP on waht they can pass along to the people. STOP THE CROOKS. Do it now. or you won't have any money for food and clothing. While we are at it lets cap their pay increases also. Most of them just sit on their rear ends anyway. Whens the last time you voted yourself a raise. Lets stop the crooks before it's to late. That includes those in Washington. [ Unless you don't mind them putting their hands in your pockets.]

Yes, I agree, just say no, even when the serviceman comes to shut off your utilities.

Wow, lay-offs from within, really?

That's not the right way to go about it. Why don't you look at the CEO salary of all of these companies that are demanding increases. THAT'S where the pay cuts and lay-offs need to be.
