Reader Letter: Appreciates columnist's sense

I'd just like to say "Amen!" to David Limbaugh's column in Sunday's paper ["Obama vs. America's Fiscal Health," Dec. 30]. It just makes a lot of common sense.

And, I've got a question for you - how can we best get the message to all our congressmen that what they need to do is to cut spending?

Norman I have a question for you? What are you willing to cut? Here are a few areas where I think we might be able to save a little money. Defense, we spend on defense equal to what the next 17 largest countries spend . Does that make us 17 times safer. I don't think so. We have bases all over the world. Shut a bunch of them down and bring the troops home. How about minding our own business for a change. Big savings. Bring all the troops home the wars were a giant mistake and we should admit that and quit repeating our stupid mistakes over and over again. Entitlements . Even President Jr. thought we should means test SS and Medicare. If you make a million a year you should not be collecting either one period. That would go a long way to balencing the budjet and getting our economy in order. We all agree we need to cut the question is where and how much. I think most Americans would agree but our politicians don't work for us they work for the Corp.

If you find out Norman, please let the rest of us conservatives know. Forget the libs, they think as long as we can keep printing money in the back room, we're just fine. No amount of screaming stop the spending seems to work. Obama is hell bent on adding anything that costs us more including his long, senseless vacations and the zombie lemmings follow in his footsteps.

Republicans have gotten the message. Now if we could get a Ted Cruz type in the White House....afraid of nothing, especially the truth. One thing that would help - if Conservatives got passionate and came out often in front of cameras and explained the debt because most people think a trillion is one step above a billion - it is not of course.

And if Harry Reid would stop hiding bills sent over for months and years on end, then lying about them rather than let them be voted on...

An even better approach would be to convince China to quit loaning money to our spend addicted govt.!
