Letter: We need more women cops

With past experiences with male officers in the Kingman Police Department, I feel that female police officers do a lot better job. At least they show more compassion to victims. I should know. I feel that we need more female officers because they don't take any guff, period.

I'd trust a lady police officer over any of the KPD male officers any old day. Furthermore, they have my back and I'd give my assistance to a lady officer before I would give any support to any male officer of KPD.

God bless these lady officers! You are always welcome to call for me to back you up. And that is coming from my heart!

Please keep up the good work. I'm very proud of all you ladies in blue. Thank you.

Kenny Lee Barrows

@Capt. Nice

"Why is it you don't see women playing in the NFL or the NBA.....maybe it is because they are not big enough or strong enough, but a liberal will argue that it is not fair and they should be in the NFL and NBA."

Great example. Just the other day a woman named Lauren Silberman tried out to catch the eye of NFL scouts. She performed as expected, and kicked the ball like a girl.

LOL

"Actually I'm glad you think it is funny, but for some reason I do not! I really don't want one of my grand daughters on the front lines doing what men should be doing all in the name of liberal fairness.
If you have no feelings about women on the front lines so be it, but I'm entitled to my opinions and getting young women killed just to satisfy your morbid fairness belief is beyond me.
Why is it you don't see women playing in the NFL or the NBA.....maybe it is because they are not big enough or strong enough, but a liberal will argue that it is not fair and they should be in the NFL and NBA. All this contributes to the thinking liberalism is a sickness and some of the people who write in sure need to go see a shrink!"

The only people I think need to see a shrink are the ones who buy into the prejudiced old fashioned way of thinking that women are not just as capable as men are.

“When they have to take down a bad guy the women cops are the ones who stand back and let the men do it....”

Actually I have seen women officers on that show take down the “bad guys.” Oh, well, I guess I didn’t actually see what I saw. LOL

"that right there tells me that there are places in the police dept. for women like in the military but not on the front lines or on the streets."

Keep on showing your true feelings. This is funny stuff.

Kenny
Have you ever watched "Cops" on TV? When they have to take down a bad guy the women cops are the ones who stand back and let the men do it....that right there tells me that there are places in the police dept. for women like in the military but not on the front lines or on the streets.

Mr. Barrows, obviously you have not had many experiences with a number of female cops and I have to highly disagree with you!!

Actually what is needed are people that qualify for the job and not people that are hired based on their gender, race or military service.
