Thanks: Harry Schueren

As many of you know, I resigned my position as a teacher in the Kingman school district. I want to let you know how much I appreciate the help and support that has been given to me the last 3 plus years.

I feel that the choir has grown tremendously during the time of my tenure. I truly have enjoyed introducing music that I expect the kids would never be exposed to otherwise. The majority of the students rose to the occasion and were willing to try new things and I believe that it showed during their performances. My accompanist Margo has been a treasure. She has such diverse experience with all the different facets of music that I'm sure I will never find her equal.

The drama program was a pleasure to teach. My approach was probably quite different than the kids expected, but I wanted to give them a "real" theater experience as opposed to sitting doing worksheets at their desk. The response from the majority of the students was extremely positive. They learned a lot and it showed during their performances.

I was honored to help with the Kingman Bulldog Marching Band on their half-time shows over the past three seasons, as well as being their photographer at games and competitions.

I appreciate the support of the district teachers, administration and support staff during my time here, as well as the invaluable help given by many parents of my students in supporting their children's performances and concerts.

I'd also like to thank the Kingman Daily Miner for their willingness to promote the school's musicals, straight plays and choir concerts.

I'm sorry things had to end this way. It was not the way I would have chosen to leave.

Harry Schueren

Harry Schueren is an amazing individual, and having known him as friend, as well as student, for over 20 years, I absolutely believe in his innocence and integrity. Kingman is the loser in this situation.

It's just so sad it happened this way. To this day I still hate how much the drama department has been rotted since you left.

Thank you, Harry Schueren, for your comments. I am sure I will never find your equal in my life either! I have never worked with such a musician and instructor as yourself, who is so totally a pleasure in every way! Best of HOPES and HIGHEST REGARDS to YOU in your profession in the future years, Harry. Thanks for letting me get to know you and work (and play) with and for you! The pleasure was ALL MINE!
