Letter: Streets need changes

Why would the city, or whoever is responsible, not make Yavapai Street between Airway and Kenwood a two-way street in which traffic over in that area could bypass Diamond Street? It would give the folks who live on Diamond Street a break from all of the non-stop traffic that is going by those homes.

There are no homes on Yavapai between Airway and Kenwood, which would be ideal considering the volume of traffic that goes down Diamond. It would likely make the value and want of those homes go down tremendously.

Plus, it would make it so that traffic at the light on Airway doesn't block Yavapai while folks are attempting to turn left onto Diamond Street traveling from the east on Airway.

Uh, some people have short memories. Diamond was 2 way, even after they completed the Airway underpass. They did what they did to alleviate the traffic on Diamond. There also was no traffic signal at Yavapai and Airway at first. I`d say the conditions are fantastic compared to what they used to be!

gee...that would be common sense! And this city does not know how to even spell "common sense"!
