Letter: See the sheriff's light

Wake up you blind people of Arizona! Help the sheriff straighten up this state. He does his job, which other officers do not do. Read his column in April's Adspay. I'm furious to think anyone with a brain would try to get him out of office.

If each office holder, including this dumb president, did his job right, the U.S. could be proud and working again! What can I do? Mr. Sheriff, what will you do?

Gale Obazy

"If a liberal sheriff ever made such a comment you righties would be demanding his head on a platter."

We are perfectly aware you don't like the guy. Here's a thought, run a liberal against him. Oh wait, that's been tried in Phoenix and has not worked there yet.

Ms Smith

“I do know Sheriff Tom Sheahan. He has always been professional,…”

Any of these rightie shuruffs - Sheahan included – who spew such nonsense as they will only enforce laws they “feel” are Constitutional proves a distinct lack of any level of professionalism.

If a liberal sheriff ever made such a comment you righties would be demanding his head on a platter.

I do know Sheriff Tom Sheahan. He has always been professional, fair to the employees who work under him and Capt. Nice I haven't seen the terrible disposition you refer to but, age and time and life itself can cause change. Maybe you just met him on a bad day.

I have to say as one who worked under him as a correction officer, classification officer and a corpral and ran graveyard shift I could not have had anyone back me anymore in decisions I made on my own during that time as Sheriff Sheahan did! For a female in that environment to be able to say that is well earned respect above and beyond by Sheriff Tom Sheahan! Maybe that in part is because I made good decisions and strived to be firm but fair. Mohave County is blessed to have the man.

KDM editors, did you not even ask her to clarify which sheriff she meant before agreeing to post this?

Secondly, yeah, most other people in here have called it correctly - sheriffs are elected, and as such, have motivation to make the people support them by saying all sorts of stuff.

Seems like it's working!

Gale, if you want to help the sheriff stay in office there are a few simple things you can do:
-Give his re-election campaign money
-Ask others to give him money
-Blindly criticize other candidats as they come and go, regardless of their positions or abilities

Just a few suggestions, it can go on and on...

Our sheriff is a political sheriff what's new in AZ it would be nice to have a sheriff of any party who just focused on the law and not all the political BS we get from Sheehan.

Which sheriff are you talking about as I didn't see it in AdsPay, if it's Sheahan, no way, Arpaio, yes, most definitely.

Gale
I have met the sheriff and he has a terrible disposition, but I do admire him and back him 100%.
It would be terrible to have held down the job as long as he has with the left spying on his every move to try to get something on him and so far the have failed.
We hear mostly from a minority of people as the Sheriff still has a large backing, but for some reason these jerks that want him out make the news.
I'm ashamed of this country!
