Letter: New supervisors good so far

I want to thank Joy Brotherton for coming out to Golden Valley and really showing an effort to help our community, starting with our road conditions. It has only been a few months and our real people person's attitude that our supervisors have is already showing!

No one is perfect and everything can be corrected if it is not truly honest, legal, moral and ethical. Hildy and Steve, along with Joy, we are happy that you are asking for answers to problems that only (workers) in different departments can really help with. People working and interacting with the public have a much better up-to-date view than someone who at one time worked or managed a department.

People, if you are trying to help our county in any way, just be proud! We really needed this new Board of Supervisors to protect us from the likes of county government that tried very unethical treatments of Hildy! If you have knowledge that will help any part of our county, send it to your supervisor, but please make it honest and ethical! Thanks.

Robert Lane

It is a scary day when Buster makes the most sense. They have replaced a Walker dictatorship with a chaotic mess where every employee seems to answer to every supervisor. This is not good government, as they have placated the loudest with the gun and pitchfork diversions. The majority here do not want a professional county manager with any administrative skills, they want a yes man afraid to do his or her job. Regulatory agencies, as weak as they are, will weaken further, afraid to do the job the law requires, as Moss might put them on the agenda. A Bullhead clique has taken power, appointing each other to various boards, after two Bullhead school boards had relatives on them, Now you see them and relatives on county boards, the very thing they criticized Sockwell for. County government does not seem to have improved, it just has shifted from one mess to another, neither doing what they are there for, the best service for the majority. The employees are afraid to do their jobs. Now if they miss something, they are labeled criminals.

@ Mr. Lane
I feel a little better about giving my opion on items that concern myself and others now that we have 4 real people that care about all districts in our county ! {Does anyone rember the statement--I do what I want because I can ? )
I do not rember which supervisor wants a lie penalty, well I agree maybe we will get the truth from now on !The good ole boys are the ones that convince supervisors to build or spend money, how ever this new board will check things out for them selfs so it will get done honestly and open to all, no more my team like the old countyMgr.My friend is just a working employee and all the employees would love to tell all but Dept heads will not let that happen !
Thank you,CLL

Totally agree but it's too bad the dead weight incumbents couldn't be off loaded.
