Letter of thanks: 5th Street Books

5th Street Books would like to thank the community for helping us send out another successful shipment of books, through Operation Paperback (www.operationpaperback.org), to our troops who are serving overseas.

We would like to extend special recognition to the Kingman Daily Miner for providing many of the books that we sent out this time, and to the local Democrats for sponsoring the postage for this shipment. Our customers have also been generous in their donations - we have nearly enough in the postage jar to ship out yet another box!

If you would like to help with our ongoing operation paperback project, we accept donations of spare change to go towards the postage fund (it takes about eight dollars to ship a box of twenty to twenty five books) as well as gently used paperback books. Books that the troops are looking for include all types of fiction, except romances, as well as non-fiction such as history, biography and current affairs. We also try and send card game rule books and unused game books such as crossword and sudoku when we can get them.

Donations can be dropped off at 5th Street Books at the corner of 5th Street and Oak Street in downtown Kingman.
