Letter: Save your postage

It really aggravates me when Frontier and Dish as well as Martin Swanty, etc., send me junk mail.

Unless I request it, please stop sending your crap to me because I'm not interested, period!

My question is this to you - do you think I fell off a turnip truck or do you think I'm going to buy your junk?

Guess what, people? You are all wrong. I can't drive due to my eyes not being good. And another thing - I refuse to buy from a company that I'm not in tune with. So please stop sending your junk to my address.

I speak not just for myself, but for all who live in Kingman.

Kenny Lee Barrows

@ KLB,

Consider researching Med Marijuana for your over stressed life.

It really can take the edge off little things like junk mail. You smile and throw it in the trash.

In reference to junk mail, one can invest in a cheap rubber stamp, ink pad then keep it in ones vehicle or at home depending on whether your mail is all post office delivered or route delivery, then stamp that junk mail with a simple return to sender, three simple words, and return their junk or what ever the US postal policy is on such mail being refused acceptance if file 13 or its returned to sender just refuse to open it or accept it!

Who are you to "speak for" me? Jeepers man, you want to get worked up into a lather over something at least make it something worthwhile. It'd be one thing if they were calling you on the phone or filling up your email with Viagra solicitations but a couple pieces of paper that you can simply throw in the garbage is hardly worth such a ridiculous tirade...you must be a real joy to be around!

KLB, in no way do you speak for me, nor anyone i know, for that matter. If you go to the post office you can OPT OUT of alot of the junk mail you recieve.

Kenny, do you speak for the people at the Post Office and printing companies that are kept in business this way?

Obviously it works enough that they keep on doing it. No business is going to throw away money on a for of advertisement if it is demonstrated to be a failure.

I agree the stuff is annoying, but c'mon - are you really so busy that you can't be bothered to sort your own mail?

Article comment by: Opt-out list for junk mail?

Almost everyone hates junk mail, including me. But I guess enough people must take the bait to make it worth it for those companies that do it. Thank goodness we at least now have an opt-out list for junk phone calls. Those were even worse yet.

Do as I do and mail all that stuff back to them in their prepaid envelopes. Make it cost them money, besides, the Postal Service needs the money. I also like mailing other junk mail in their prepaid envelopes so they can see how it feels to get unsolicited junk mail. I like when they call offering to get me in a new vehicle with lower payments than I am already paying, my vehicle is paid off so I ask them if they are going to give me a free vehicle, then they hang up on me, how rude!

I agree, and is it not frustrating when you get a magazine and in between the pages are numerous advertisements for junk that falls out as you go through the magazine.
