Letter: The drug user won

What is wrong with Kingman when a criminal is allowed to go free and they take an innocent man to court. The only thing that I can think of is that they take an innocent man to court because they don't have to hunt for him; they know where he is. It would cost the county more to hunt down the guilty than to simply charge the innocent one.

This criminal held his girlfriend hostage in the back bedroom, but they didn't even charge him with domestic violence. He has been arrested so many times it isn't even funny (search his name on the Internet), and yet he still is walking free on the streets. Are the police afraid of him? His girlfriend is; she fled the state to get away from him.

They are going to take my son to court and all that he tried to do was get this drug user off of my property. I am 81 years old and wheelchair-bound. My son takes care of me and tries to maintain peace and quiet. Until that druggie came here, it was a really quiet area. Most people who come here enjoy the quiet.

Almost everything he said in the police report was a lie except that he admitted to having "a meth problem." All of my other tenants moved out so that they wouldn't have to deal with him. Now I can't pay my bills and the utilities are about to be shut off. And with no electricity, I have no oxygen machine to use.

Have your doctor write a letter to your utility company regarding the electricity and your oxygen machine. I work at a cardiology clinic in Flagstaff and my doctors have done this for a few patients and been successful. If you're on any kind of life sustaining medically necessary machine like that and it needs electricity to run they can't shut it off. Having your doctor speak to them is your best bet.

I don't know both sides of your story but I have for many years now watched the Mohave county prosecutor's office and courts waste a lot of taxpayer money and I continue to be amazed that Judge Conn still has a job, I wonder if he was a public defender in the past.

Nice catch KPD. Keep up the good work. Nice to know the Kingman PD is ready, willing and able to charge the good guys, when they could be running in the bad guys.

I tried to make sense of this posted letter to editor, cannot say I can understand it other than she is in dire financial straights, angry, blaming the judicial system for some real or not wrong cannot say! Obviously she has some tenant's who have left, leaving her no income as a land lord! Hopefully she has a relative who can help her find some solution to her issues!
