Letter: Send a card to grandma

I'm hoping your newspaper will publish my letter, so readers can help me out.

I'm submitting a letter to many towns and cities in all of the 50 states hoping I can get some help from people like you!

My grandma is turning 80 years old on Sept. 14. I thought it would be a great idea to ask readers if they'd be willing to send my grandma a card. She would love to get mail from people across country.

If anyone is willing to help me out by sending my grandma a card, her address is:

Barbara Johnson

PO Box 475

Sacred Heart, MN 56285

Thank you!

Diane Brandt

Sioux Falls, S.D.

I like the sentiment, but there are some crazy people out there... please have someone sort your grandma's mail before she opens some of it.

Also keep in mind you put her name and address on the internet. The NSA is one thing, but people will use and sell that information in a hot second.

Seriously - before you do this across the country you need to set up a better system. Make up a gmail address and have people interested in sending a card email you first. You can tell the screwballs from the nice people most likely, but your granny shouldn't just have strangers mailing her stuff.
