Letter of thanks: Ingrid Swanson

On Oct. 8, Mohave Community Orchestra performed a concert at Kingman High School. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for supporting the orchestra over the past 18 years. As a musician, it's exciting to perform for an audience that truly appreciates our efforts. This community is such an audience!

Mohave Community Orchestra, a nonprofit organization, was formed in July 1995 with the goal of providing an orchestra for youth and adults in Kingman and surrounding communities. A string program for youth is not provided in the schools here. Therefore, youth are invited to join the orchestra to gain this experience, and many receive private instruction, as well. The orchestra is comprised of 50 musicians, including the conductors, who are volunteers with a diverse combination of musical experience. These volunteers share their musical talents at rehearsals on a weekly basis during the school year.

Mohave Community Orchestra provides several performances for the community during the concert season. Please mark your calendars for our next performance, a combined concert with Mohave Community Choir, on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Kingman High School auditorium on Bank Street.
