Kingman Letters: Lights stolen from gravesite

This letter is for the people who stole the solar lights off of my wife's grave.

I hope you are enjoying them.

They were placed by me on her grave with love and honor, and removed with hate and greed. I forgive you and your parents for this act, as you have been raised with little or no moral background.

I can replace the light, but I wonder how you will explain your actions when you stand before the Lord.

To Original poster Evert Weatherbee, I'm sorry for your loss and for what happened. I believe your beloved wife is sleeping safe and sound in Our Heavenly Father, so she has no need of anything. I do understand you wanting to honor her and her resting place. I really do not understand how others could steal from a grave. Pray for them.

As far as not standing before God on judgment day, everyone will face judgment. It is appointed for man to die and then the judgment.

Thank you to all who are supporting my father at this time. A time when those who are without honor dare to defame those who have gone before us. I say we should all stand together as an Arizona community with pride and dignity and say we will not stand for the defamation of anyone's burial site no matter their faith or belief system. If you need to steal to support your family or self, then all you need to do is ASK for help, and someone will answer your call. My mother was a person who would have helped you if you had needed help, and by stealing from where she is buried is akin to spitting in her face. To those of you who stole items from this cemetery , I just ask you to think of how you would feel if someone defamed your families site. As both a teacher and retired member of the military, I live/teach HONOR, INTEGRITY, and LOYALTY to Community. I ask you to live by this ethos too. But most all, remember there is only ONE TRUE JUDGE.... are you ready???

I'm so sorry Mr. Weatherbee:

Just know the light shining within you is a thousand times brighter than any light in them. Lost souls who do need prayer I suppose.

If you would like, we could each buy a light to replace the lost ones, perhaps leave them with your name at the office at the cemetery. I think there is an office there anyway.

Please let us know. They wouldn't be matching but you might tell us what color such as silver, bronze, etc.

“We have over 100 million in this country with out jobs and more jobs lost everyday.”

I suppose, hyperbole aside, that I you consider all of the children and the retired there might be “100 million” people out of the approximately 317 million in the nation out of work. Of course the labor department’s figures for March 2014 show 137,130,000+ people employed, representing roughly 91.3% of the available work force. And jobs have been lost every day of every year since jobs began.

“There are 5000 to 8000 home invasions a day in this country.”

This is curious range of figure and I would challenge you as to where you got them? The FBI, which compiles a range of crime statistics from data collected around the country, has no information on the number and rate of “home invasions.”

But then again you’re the guy who said Obama raised tobacco taxes by 2000% so your grasp of figures is tenuous at best.

Article comment by: who does that .....

I used to visit the cemetery in California where several people I knew well are buried. I would see young women roller-blading through the place dressed for the beach - or maybe more like for a nudist spa, unless you consider some of this stuff "clothing". It wasn't titillating, and finally I went to the directors and they made some mealy-mouthed statement that indicated they weren't interested in the problem. I never did it, but thought about just grabbing one of those girls as they whizzed by the graves of loved ones there, with their music plugs in their ears. And I wouldn't have been looking for a hot date.

We have over 100 million in this country with out jobs and more jobs lost everyday. The more people out of work the higher the crime rate. There are 5000 to 8000 home invasions a day in this country. Local stores in Golden Valley have to lock up their ice to keep it from being stolen. Any thing left out unlocked is fair game for people who are hungry and with no job. Many people will kill to feed their family.

To steal from a grave. You have shown how low you can go. Enjoy your new found light.

Article comment by: Only GOD Can Judge Them

This is such a disgusting act of humans. Who steals items from graves? Horrible, mean spirited people do, that's who. You're right Mr. Weatherbee, they will be judged by GOD one day when they are face to face with him, and have to explain their actions. And you are a wonderful man to forgive them.
