8/21/2014 6:00:00 AM Letter: Death penalty should work faster
In response to an editorial that was written by Dori Giehrl ["Death penalty? Let's keep it," Aug. 13], I wish to express my sincere agreement with the article concerning Joseph Wood and Dori's opinion on the death penalty.
I personally believe if you're going to have a death penalty, USE IT! They go ahead and find "beyond reasonable doubt" a person rightfully guilty of inhumane murder and dismemberment of another person, or pre-planned murder, and place them on death row. Yes, there should be time to research and investigate further information. But, after that, let's move on to the death penalty.
But no. The guilty one sits in jail year after year enjoying three meals a day, a clean bed and clothes, recreation and free medical.
Why should they have it any better than some unfortunate on the street who has nothing? Do all the crybabies stop and offer them the same benefits given to those ruthless murderers?
Hopefully, the next slaughtered victim is not one of the crybabies' family members.
