Kingman Letter: Media mum when Obama lies

I watched the Sixty Minute Romney/Obama interviews with disgust.

While Romney was interrupted, Obama repeated the same old lies and Kroft never disputed them. Obama repeats them, knowing the tinfoil heads will nod in agreement on their way to vote for him, the rest won't bother to check the true facts.

Two big lies, that Obama has created 4.2 million jobs and Bush was bleeding 600,000 jobs a month were again repeated. They're still lies. Obama even admitted they stretch the truth but hey, it's a campaign, he said. Sixty Minutes cut that part.

Obama, like Clinton at the Democratic Convention, both blame the Republicans for standing in the way of the recovery. Really? Does a recovery even require government intervention? Our first 150 years, government never interfered and downturns weren't as long nor as deep.

In 1921, under the "do-nothing" President, Warren Harding, unemployment was 11.7 percent. Harding did but one thing, he reduced government spending as tax revenues declined due to the downturn. By 1922, that 11.7 percent fell to 6.7 percent and in 1923 to 2.4 percent. Harding's government got out of the way, the economy rebounded on it's own.

Another 60 Minute lie - Obama declared he saved the auto industry. In fact, he did not. But Romney had suggested a similar Harding response. Let them go bankrupt he said. And, unknown to most, included in the government bailout was ... a bankruptcy.

The 60 Minutes bombshell was Obama's reference to Israel as but one of our allies in the region. But one? This is a terrifying remark to Jews and Christians. Obama needs to get off The View and look out the window. The Israeli neighborhood is in flames ... they're burning our flag ... and threatening Israel with extinction. Maybe meeting with Netanyahu instead of David Letterman is in the offing. And finding out why the dead Ambassador hand wrote in his diary he was in fear with so little security and why in fact, did he have so little security. Being the Hip-hop President might be cool to some. It's not to me.

I just can't bring my self to vote for Romney/Ryan. And since I'm a registered Republican I certainly won't vote Obama. I like the idea of bringing the Libertarian Party into the mix. I'm voting Gary Johnson. Now I have to decide if I should change my party to Libertarian.

Sorry. My brain went haywire. I meant Leviticus is in the OT, not the NT.

Anyway, your first post left me with the impression that you thought Leviticus was in the NT. I've re-read it and I still get that impression.

Did you mean the OT?

So why did you say the following, “leviticus 20:13 … that is in the new testament?”

you wrote, in response to concerned citizen ii, in regards to their response that gays stay in the closet because of people like you,

"complete with the exclamation point of poutrage. lol. obviously the subject has gotten your silk panties in a bunch.

could you be any more condescending? to say to someone you have no idea if they are a man or a woman that they have their "silk panties" in a bunch is a personal attack on that person. yet the web admin. allowed it, despite the new rules on personal attacks. time and time again, you have called me a liar, and you, linda athens, and a few more on here continually call us dems derogatory names and tell us how stupid we are. just shows how slanted this paper really is. yet, if we say the slightest thing wrong, our responses are deleted.

you also wrote, "more likely it is done to hide it from family and friends. because we all know how many parents wake up every day and go "gee, i hope my son/daughter turns gay. i didn't really want grandchildren anyway. and the health risks involved are no big deal."

no, parents don't wake up every day hoping that their child is gay. but the parents of gays love their children unconditionally, no matter what they do, or how they live or who they choose as a loving partner. obviously, you have no idea what unconditional love means. parents continue to love their children even if they turn out to be murderers or rapists. you can't turn love off just because you may not agree with what your children do in life.

on the subject of homosexuality-and i am a believer! leviticus 20:13 states "if aman also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them". that is in the new testament, however all through the old and new testament god's word instructs us as to marriage and family being only between one man and one woman. both old and new reference the consequences of fornication, adultry, beast-uality and all manner of sexual sins. people are right when they say "homosesexual{the word itself is not in the bible} but anyone can know if they read the bible homosexual behavior is exactly what god is talking about!!

that certainly should appease them for the hundreds of dead mexicans from the fast and furious debacle.

by the way....a good portion of that 6 trillion comes from the unfunded 2 wars that bush got us into. or did you try to forget that on purpose?

“Liberals can't seem to understand, to dump the Bush tax cuts means we ALL pay more more.”

Conservatives can’t understand that The President wants to eliminate The Criminals tax cuts for only those making over $250,000 a year (which would effect only those dollars ABOVE $250,00), allowing the rest of us (that would be over 99%) TO KEEP the tax cuts. It’s the Republicans who are adamant about leaving The Criminals tax cuts in place. They are the ones pushing for a tax increase on the rest of us.

And of course we cannot possibly go back to the Clinton era tax rates when there were 22 millions jobs created, the nation experienced the biggest boom since the 1950s, we had a balanced budget and Clinton handed The Criminal a budget surplus – which he immediately blew. Oh and BTW we are asking those poor beleaguered rich to cough up an additional 4% - the horror, the horror!

To Linda Athens:

The media is mum for a reason - Obama isn't lying. The media can't call Obama out on something he hasn't done. The media calls out the Tea/Repubs, the right-wing loons, Romney and Ryan, only because they ARE lying about almost everything that comes out of their mouths.

"And you do know that saying, “I am sure o is a homosexual..” is libelous?"

I have long found it amusing how liberals will say "Nothing wrong with being gay. Being gay is a perfectly normal thing." But then liberals also think if someone is accused of being gay it is something they could be sued over. Sort of exposes how you really don't think it is normal or acceptable to be gay.

Breitbart.com

The Obama campaign dropped a bombshell this morning. It announced that, combined with the DNC, the campaign raised a staggering $181 million in September, a huge increase over July/Aug and slightly down from the $193 mill in 9/2008. The news should raise eyebrows.

The campaign said that just over 1.8 million people made donations to the campaign last month. According to the campaign, over 500k of these were brand-new donors, having neither given in 2008 nor 2012. 98% of contributions were under the reporting threshold of $250. Of these, the average contribution was $53.

Its really a tale of two worlds. 35k people gave an average of $2,600, while just over 1.7 million people gave an average of $53. Half the campaign's haul came from people giving around the maximum amount and half from people who don't have to be disclosed. Seems a bit odd.

The average of $53 from small donors is particularly noteworthy. Contributions under $200 don't have to be disclosed, but the campaign still has to keep track of the donor's name, in case subsequent donations push their contribution over the reporting threshold.

For contributions under $50, however, the campaign doesn't even have to keep track of the donor's name. It is effectively considered a "petty cash" donation. A person could theoretically make 10 $49 donations and never be reported, even though their total contributions are above the FEC's reporting threshold.

With an average donation of $53 from small donors, Obama has A LOT of donors who will never be disclosed and whose names aren't even known to the campaign. Tens of millions of dollars worth.

Today's report certainly adds a great deal of interest to this news story from last week.

Who are they kidding?

On obama's law breaking credit card donations -

Republican Patrick Ruffini tested Obama’s AVS procedures at the time, attempting to donate five dollars by providing an address different from the one linked to the credit card he used. Result: Transaction accepted. Said Ruffini, who worked on online organizing for Bush’s campaign, “The ability to contribute with a false address, when the technology to prevent it not only exists but comes standard, is a green light for fraud.”

Note the part too about AVS protections being “standard.” Mark Steyn checked the prefab template for his own little web store at the time and found that the defaults were all set for MAXIMUM verification. To make the system as lax as it was — and apparently still is — at BarackObama.com, you had to DELIBERATELY WEAKEN ITS SECURITY CHECKS. Which, per the staff’s own admission to WaPo, they did.

I recommend re-reading that old WaPo piece in its entirety as it cites the case of a retired insurance manager whose name had been stolen to donate $174,800 to Obama. In reality, the manager had never donated a cent.

2008 Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign is allowing donors to use largely untraceable prepaid credit cards that could potentially be used to evade limits on how much an individual is legally allowed to give or to mask a contributor’s identity, campaign officials confirmed.

Faced with a huge influx of donations over the Internet, the campaign has also chosen not to use basic security measures to prevent potentially illegal or anonymous contributions from flowing into its accounts, aides acknowledged. Instead, the campaign is scrutinizing its books for improper donations after the money has been deposited…

When asked whether the campaign takes steps to verify whether a donor’s name matches the name on the credit card used to make a payment, Obama’s campaign replied in an e-mail: “Name-matching is not a standard check conducted or made available in the credit card processing industry. We believe Visa and MasterCard do not even have the ability to do this. Wrong!!

Juan Proaño, whose technology firm handled online contributions for John Edwards’s presidential primary campaign, and for John F. Kerry’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee in 2004, said it is possible to require donors’ names and addresses to match those on their credit card accounts. But, he said, some campaigns are reluctant to impose that extra layer of security.

This 2008 story is to advise, this is how obama got away w/it last time around, apparently is at it again. Some have tried putting money thru (including Mark Steyn the author) using a false address/false name - it goes on through. Last time around, some cards were used 50 times in a row violating federal campaign laws - never got investigated - he got away with it. Here we go again.

FLS - Hahaha! Too funny! Today Rush Limbaugh said a moderator on CNN was so skinny, she looked like a cadaver. Carol someone with an hispanic last name.

He said Carol, start eating.

Biden and obama say the most hilarious things if you just watch. Yesterday, Biden, who apparently was able to escape his cage his handlers had him in, said to a crowd the other side thinks we are going to raise taxes by a trillion dollars.

Guess what he said. We are!! Everyone clapped and yelled. These people probably clap at train wrecks too.

Liberals can't seem to understand, to dump the Bush tax cuts means we ALL pay more more.

“I recommend that as a dedicated obamabot, you sue on his behalf.”

And now we add ignorance of the law to this long list of failings. One cannot sue for libel on behalf of another unless you are dealing with a minor child or are the assigned represtative of the libeled individual. Sad, as always.

“Oh wait, they might cut into your make believe 100 dollar a month donation to the obama campaign.”

My campaign donations really bother you don’t they? Why is that? And how much have you given to Willard the Money Hider?

“Shades of the last election. According to the sources, a taxpayer watchdog group conducting a 9 mo investigation into presidential and congressional fundraising uncovered thousands of cases of credit card donations to obama and Capitol Hill, from insecure accounts, many from overseas.”

And another of the “things that never happened” will be added to Ms Athens list next week.

Remember the “Obama is going to jail for not showing up in a Georgia court?” That one was really funny.
