Letter: Third party push

Very soon, the broadcast stations in Phoenix and surrounding cities will announce the Independent Party push for a third major party. We in Kingman are trying to give our city and Mohave County residents information to show the state that we want to be first.

Join us in our petition drive. It's for you. You get a third choice in voting. New candidates. You can support anyone you like, even outside the party, without being ostracized. It's what everyone likes and has wanted for years. But it takes all of us, be you a Democrat, Republican or whatever.

We are trying to help. No personalities involved. Just a new, clean, honest party. It's for seniors, veterans, low income, small businesses, young people and more. All you can do is win.

Email us at azindependentparty@yahoo.com or call us: Lee Davies, first vice chairman, at (928) 714-8098 or Janice Palmer at (928) 530-2552.

Next question."

By the way, I read every word of mutual respect's comment, did you? Nowhere in it does he/she mention being a leftist or a rightie. Guess you missed noticing that in your zeal to attack him/her.

next question

@mutual respect

"Janice Palmer has chosen to be identified as a woman, why are you not able to respect that?"

Because DNA (established science) says otherwise.

Leftists insist people accept global warming as being proven by science. But when it comes to gender, scientific fact is not supposed to enter into it.

By the way, I read every single word of Violet Kinkles comment. Did you? Nowhere in it does she mention Palmer's gender choice. Not....One....Single....Word. Guess you missed noticing in your leftist zeal to attack her.

Next question.

@Mutual Respect
As Oh Ya stated...it's not about the gender identity thing. It's about being open about your past when trying for an elected office. Ms Palmer has claimed to be an elected Rep in NV for many years, as well as being involved in Vets groups and being a stunt person. Ms Palmer also insults everyone here who disagrees with her in the slightest way.

I don't care if someone is green and wears a bathrobe 24/7 or if they sexually identify with chipmunks....but I do expect them to be open and honest.

Respect is earned, not given.

"what ever makes your thin little heads feel better. get it?????????"

Wow......"your thin little heads"? Way to go hammering yet another nail into the coffin of your political aspirations. I think it is fair to say you have now completed the task of insulting every potential supporter.

Mutual Respect, it isn't so much that Palmer wants to be identified as a woman, I don't really care. The problem is the claim of being a former government official (for many years) of Nevada and has been saying it every time any election comes up. If Palmer is so proud of the new gender identity, then why does it matter what name came before hand. It's all about credibility when it comes down to running for office, "trying" to form a political party, you name it. If somebody was dressed as the Lone Ranger and was wanting to run for office, I would still want to know who's behind the mask. Get it?

Janice
I'm a Republican, but I would vote for a Democrat if one came along that I agreed with.
Liberal thinking is destroying this country and we have a President who does not have a clue on how to be one. He claimed to be a community organizer, but so far all I have seen is a country divider and destroyer!
This country is the laughing stock of the world because people voted for the color of a mans skin and not his abilities or experience.
Like I said, I would vote for a Democrat if one came along with an ounce of sense, but so far in my lifetime that hasn't happened.

Violet Kinkle, sexual identity and the various issues associated with transexuals are issues our society has finally been allowed to discuss and examine openly. All the way back to Christine Jorgensen's sex change operation in the early 50's individuals struggling with sexual assignment have slowly been treated with respect and compassion. If we want to develop a society that is respectful to all, we need to start locally. Janice Palmer has chosen to be identified as a woman, why are you not able to respect that?

Jp you just don't get it! "I" stand a better chance at getting into the White House than you do trying to convince "Independents" to join not just a party, but "your" party. You lack credibility! Get it?

Ok Mr / Ms Palmer I am an registered Independent voter in Arizona. I am perfectly aware that as an Independent voter when it comes to the "Primary" elections I am not able to cast my vote. But and stay with me here Mr. / Ms. Palmer if I am a registered Democrat or Republican I can vote then. This was decided back in 1998 by the voters of Arizona. But as an Independent voter I can cast my vote in the "General" election. But you have claimed in the past that you served in the Nevada Legislature, I guess you have forgotten that Nevada does the same thing as Arizona. An registered Independent can not cast a vote in a "Primary" election only a Democrat or a Republican. So if you cannot keep the laws straight - let me put this in a way you will understand this. If you want an Independent to vote in the Primary than you change the law! But if you think you can ride on the millions of Independent registered voters and claim us as your "party" guess again!

We need a TEA PARTY. An official party - not some poor, neglected step-child of the Republican party. The Republicans voted McCain - what a disappointment he's been. The Republicans voted Brewer - turn coat on Obamacare. The Republicans voted Goodale - another one who will tell us anything we want to hear election time then turn on us with Obamacare.

All anyone has to know about 3rd parties is Ralph Nader, Ross Perot......one was left wing one was right wing and both fizzled in the end!

I was a Democrat until Clinton got elected, Then I went Republican. Then when Bush got elected I went independent. Ross Perot Tried, and both Parties came down hard on him, and Perot was exactly right on NAFTA. It Stinks .It will always be Business as usual in Washington. Remember they silenced Ross Perot for about 20 years after that!

Oh Boy! Just what we need, another political party. What we oughta be doing is abolishing the ones we have.
Wish American could see how party politics has degraded our system. So much effort expended on 'What's good for the Party', instead of 'What's good for the people'.

@ Janice

I am an independent and I voted in the primary. It is as simple as deciding who I wanted to vote for, registering in that party, voting, then re-registering as independent. It can all be done via the Internet.

Yes, it requires a bit of action on my part- but well worth doing so I can remain truly independent!

well, just because someone belongs to a party doesn't mean they lose their independence. it really means they get a chance to support anyone they want, whether that candidate is in one party or another. but the most important thing is this..they can vote in the primary. CAN YOU DO THAT NOW SMART GUYS? I don't think so....mull that over....this party is for you...not me.'

I remember all of these democrats that were adamantly against going into Iraq even tho gas was used on it's people.
Now they are adamantly for going into Syria where gas was used and not near as many people killed as in Iraq.
We don't need another party, we need a party that sticks together and does not fight amongst themselves like the Republican party.
The democrat party sticks together, if the president said the moon is made of cream cheese they would give him an award for being so smart.
What a country we live it!

All of the independents who understand what the term independent means, need to get together and fight this attempt (delete) by Janice Palmer to co-opt our status as independents for her third party nonsense.

At the very least we should raise money to buy each one of these co opted a dictionary with a book mark on the page with the definition of independent.

Independents do not want to be affiliated with any party!!!!!!
Call your third party something else!!!!!
