Kingman Letters: Sending a K-I-S-S to D.C.

Image: KEVIN MCCOY/Wikimedia Commons

We need to send a kiss to D.C. for the all the third-graders playing politics. You know, "Keep It Simple, Stupid." The insults against the American people's intelligence continue to mount from lawyers who could not find a job to match their degrees from Harvard and other colleges. So they got into politics, where they could make rules to benefit them and not us, the regular Americans.

He said, she said, is the poorest way one can govern. The great two-party systems have failed. Why else would the two parties continue in lies, deceptions and cover-ups? They either believe it or they think the public is too stupid to do common math, you know, two plus two is still four. Well, unless you're in D.C. that is, where the budget deals with spending cuts by not spending as much next year, and I will gladly pay you for a hamburger the second Tuesday of next week.

Any president or congressman and senator who uses fear in hopes of getting their bills passed should be voted out.

I would say "put in jail" or just "shot between the eyes," but we know that prison terms are not coming and it would be a waste of a good bullet.

"Just pass the bill so you can read it," Nancy [Pelosi] said, and the fools did. Why? Well, do you think they care about you or the country?

The D.C. gang knew none of this would affect them, just like the stuff of 2007 which lead to a dismal state of affairs for most Americans, but no politician, when asked, knows how many homes he or she owns.

A bully uses fear to get their way, and it is time for a civil discourse to let the D.C. bullies know we are not stupid and we will not allow them to use scare tactics and blame others for their inability to act like adults.

Well we now are discussing which party has better educated members. For those of you able to read and understand facts, just look at your own community. The Kingman area is one of the poorest and statistically ranks amoung the lowest educated both in the state and the nation. It faithfully votes 60% Republican.

“Does anyone listen to the Alan Colmes radio show daily as I do? And you call Republicans under educated? Hahahaha!”

No, but I have heard the massively undereducated Gary Sheler on a regular basis. Now there’s a guy who not only knows nothing, but does not suspect anything. HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA

@Frank Lee

I don't know about the 70% figure, but following the 2010 census and midterms, gerrymandering went into high gear. Dems had been so worried about maintaining the House/Senate that they did not prioritize state-level races, where agenda-driven Republicans gained control. They re-drew the districts after the census to GOP advantage, which was the real prize they won for being more diligent during the state-level elections.

For example...from 2012 when it didn't matter....
http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2012/11/boehner-gerrymandering-gop-majority-mandate

http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2012-11-13/opinions/35506182_1_democratic-senate-congressional-districts-house-seats

I don't know why you're upset about it - you won and will keep a GOP-controlled house until 2020. That's one block of elections you don't even have to concern yourself with for 7 more years because it will remain largely static, leaving the GOP to focus more on the Senate in 2014 and POTUS in 2016.

It's like you hate that the GOP succeeded - why?

"We must stop the gerrymandering that has allowed 70 percent of the criminals in Congress to hold elections with no real opposition."

Wow. 70%? And gerrymandering has caused that? Would you happen to have a "source of fact" for that claim. Or is this yet another emostration of your extra-special gift of "know"ing that the rest of us are supposed to believe is not just made-up?

LOL

Oh Ya: Wreak havoc? Wreak havoc? What on earth have the five years under obama been if not total bedlam from day one?

Fox: Isle is a small island. I believe you mean aisle. I know my Bible, therefore it is easy to call obama evil simply because he is. We are WARNED against people like him. Due to so many Americans shunning God and not knowing their Bibles, he has been allowed to destroy our country, turn it into a totalitarian state (as he said he would - how many libs have read his two books?)

And speaking of under educated? Does anyone listen to the Alan Colmes radio show daily as I do? And you call Republicans under educated? Hahahaha!

You people need to learn neither party has any interest to follow the constitution or help the people. Both parties have been in power and they have only made things worse. They put on a show for the ignorant.

"The rich vote Republican to preserve their wealth, at any cost. The poor Republican voters tend to be under educated, and easily led into believing the GOP BS. Democrats tend to be better educated, and vote with their minds, not their guns"

Somebody has been drinking the blue Kool-Aid!
One way to get people who don't think for themselves to parrot the progressive talking points, (I counted three in just this quote), is to tell them that Dems are smarter and more educated than Republicans.

Truly intelligent and educated people demonstrate their knowledge and intelligence through their own ideas and words, not by the party bumper sticker on their car.

More than three and a half years after the Socialist Democrats passed Obamacare into law, the overhaul’s exchanges — its East German–like government marketplaces — will finally, sort of, open for business. The Democrats fully expect their fellow Americans to be so excited about buying government-approved insurance through these government-run exchanges that they’re choosing to shut down the government rather than delay the individual mandate for a year. Better to shut down the government, it would seem, than let Americans freely decide — even for a year — whether or not to buy Obamacare-based insurance.

Those are lies. Liberals are easily brainwashed by playing to their "feelings", inflated egos, and bloated senses of self-importance. They are easily led when their egos are fed, promised the moon and are told bigoted stories of bogeymen who think different than them so must be inferior or -gasp- "rich".

Article comment by: Everyone Knows The Rich Own the Republican Party

Athen Linders, thanks for your well written comments.

It has long been known that the Republican party is the party of the rich. It use to be played down by the smart Republicans afraid the masses would rise up if they rubbed it in their faces. However with the Supreme Court's rulings allowing corporate money and soon-to-rule on spending limits, the real rich don't frankly care if the little people know the Republican Party represents them. Why buy that 7th home in Hawaii when you can own a congressman who will work to eliminate EPA standards, lower taxes, and cut all regulations? Heck, that will allow you to buy that whole Hawaiian island - screw the house.

Nice to know the little people are starting to wake up.

"Democrats far outnumber Republicans in wealth."

Biggest laugh I`ve had in a long time! The rich vote Republican to preserve their wealth, at any cost. The poor Republican voters tend to be under educated, and easily led into believing the GOP BS. Democrats tend to be better educated, and vote with their minds, not their guns.

Ya, but boy he sure did reek havoc the last two years. So much so Obama can't be expected to get it all fixed, then maybe not even the next two Presidents. I will really feel for Hillary when she takes over.

Let's see! Wealthiest in Congress, according to the poster are Republicans? Left wing CBS reported -

In 2009, there were 237 millionaires in Congress. With 1% of Americans millionaires, 44% of Congress are.

The richest member - Darryl Issa, R - worth 250 million. But the next four wealthiest are Democrats Jane Harman, Herb Kohl, Mark Warner, John Kerry, all four worth well over $200 million each.

Democrat Nancy Pelosi, Democrat Dianne Feinstein are the wealthiest legislators, third is Republican Olympia Snowe.

14 Democrats are the wealthiest, followed by 11 Republicans.

The least wealthy, Democrat Alcee Hastings who was indicted for wrong doing, then libs happily re-elected him. Next Democrat Joe Biden who is so stingy, I myself donated more to charity than he did.

So you were saying about Republicans being so wealthy? Democrats far outnumber Republicans in wealth.

And I am absolutely positive Democrats far outnumber Republicans in the corruption and lying department. Besides Obama, another millionaire and Hillary Clinton, a BIG millionaire, who lied pretty much every time their lips moved, Pelosi would have to top the list as the biggest liar I have seen in many years of watching.

Do you have a real name or just like hiding like other liberals.

"The two-party system hasn't failed"

Of course not, only the obstructionist Republicans! Ramming God and guns down our throats, while sticking it to the middle and lower class. The biggest liars, all they care about is money. By money, I mean themselves, and their rich friends. Only the truly ignorant would vote for them, unless your rich of course!

I couldn't agree more Jack but people on both sides of the isle think that they have the answer when the answer is really change we can believe in. The system is broken Congress has a 5 percent approval rating. How much lower does it have to get before we take action as voters and demand real change. We must stop the gerrymandering that has allowed 70 percent of the criminals in Congress to hold elections with no real opposition. We must keep billionaires from buying our elections. I also want to say that I think it is evil to call your opposition evil simply because you disagree with them. How dare you assume that somehow you are superior because you invoke God is on your side and call everyone who disagrees evil. Why don't we let God do the judging Linda. I don't think He is a low information voter?

The bottom line is that every member of the senate and every member of the house and every member of the elected POTUS staff are simply guilty of dereliction of duty across the board. It sickens me to think that these elected representatives of ours have the unmitigated gall to play games with the American people through threats, bullying and political positioning. It is nothing else than a game to any of them. I do not care what political party they belong to and I don't care about the past ..period. This is now. In any other industry other that politics, these people, each and every one would have been dismissed for willful negligence. I think an indictment against each of them by a Citizens Grand Jury is called for. Willful negligence in the performance of sworn duties.

Article comment by: keep it simple, Uncle Bennie you schmuck .....

(say it slowly, say it in English, Hebrew, with a Bronx accent, or an Arizona rocket scientist accent, whatever, but just say it out loud, first to yourself, then to Uncle Ben Bernanke of the Federal reserve, who was asked point-blank by a panel of United States senators whether he intended to answer their question about a missing $9 trillion. Uncle Ben said "No"". He didn't say "No, senators". He just said "No".) So this is what you should say, keeping it simpled, stupids (plurality intended here) --- "Chairman Bernanke, there is no reason to print $85 billion monthly, now or in the foreseeable future. There is no reason for capital markets or our nerves to be jangled around like so many yo-yos waiting for Marxists and drunks to reach an amicable agreement in Washington D.C. Just give us back OUR NINE TRILLION DOLLARS!!! "

Jack:

The two-party system hasn't failed, the far left threw God/Bible out, the basis for the founding documents, took over the Democrat party and is close to implementing totalitarianism.

For instance, out today, personal info in obamacare will be available to all police departments, stolen info due to low info navigators being hired is a real worry and the best weren't even hired to set up obamacare as evidenced by, the second week in, it is still unworkable. The best are in the private sector.

The Founders, Christians, understood our capacity to sin and fall, thus the separation of powers to prevent takeovers.

They couldn't have bargained for someone so blatant in his lies, so evil in his objective, that we wouldn't step up and stop him. But we didn't and haven't. Ted Cruz types are trying but, so dumbed down are many Americans, they are easily bought w/freebies and weepy stories of helping the poor. In fact, obamacare will destroy the poor and middle class.

Among the lies, obama inherited the worst economy in 60 years. In fact 6 of 8 of Bush's years we had a good economy. One-third of the 17 Trillion debt is obama's.

A million truckers will be in DC the 13 to shut down DC. A million veterans will be there also. Lets hope there are more than 2 million there. Even a million will send a very good message to the government. Then again it could start marshal law in this country.
