Vitamin seminar slated at KRMC
Harris-Feshami will discuss the benefits of holistic medicine

On April 18, Dr. Barbara Harris-Feshami will be speaking at KRMC's monthly Lunch & Learn. Her topic will be "Vitamins and Supplements"

Helping people reach higher levels of wellness is what drives Harris-Feshami.

Specializing in family practice and holistic medicine, she combines standard medical practice with holistic principles.

In her practice, Harris-Feshami considers the whole person and how they interact with their environment rather than just focusing on illness or specific parts of the body.

She emphasizes the connection of body, mind, and spirit with the goal of achieving maximum wellbeing.

However, she teaches caution with some alternative medical approaches, saying that there are many gimmicky products and practitioners that are marketed as "holistic," which are not medically sound.

Lunch & Learn features a different medical professional each month, focusing on important health care topics.

The seminars are free and held in the Del E. Webb Wellness Center Conference Rooms from noon to 1 p.m.

Participants bring their own lunch and KRMC provides a beverage and dessert.

There is no charge for the program but seating is limited. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. the day of the event.

To ensure enough seating and desserts, contact KRMC's Public Relations at 681-8514 to make a reservation.
