At about 7:20 a.m., deputies contacted Smith at a residence in the 3700 block of East Lum Avenue because of a report of suspicious activity. Smith told deputies that he had been convicted of a felony. Deputies saw two rifles in Smith's bedroom while Smith was showing deputies some items. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

On Jan. 25 at about 5:13 p.m., deputies responded to a burglary report at a residence in the 3700 block of Robin Lane. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 32-year-old female victim. The victim said that she heard a commotion in the hallway and found Simpson, her nephew, standing in her hallway. The victim told deputies that Simpson climbed through a window to enter her house. Simpson left the house after he borrowed $10. Deputies located Simpson in the area of Diagonal Way and Elmer Drive. Simpson told deputies that he entered the victim's house through a window after four guys were chasing him. He didn't think his aunt was home. Simpson was taken into custody without incident and was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
