Mohave 911:Friday, May 3, 2013

On April 26, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested an inmate in the Mohave County jail in Kingman who reportedly possessed marijuana. Sterwin Jay, 33, of Bullhead City was charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and promoting prison contraband, felonies.

On April 29, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jack Taylor Lagerway, 43, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with two outstanding warrants. Lagerway was a passenger in an older truck with four occupants in the cab in the airport area. Deputies pulled over the driver at about 1:30 a.m. A record check revealed that Lagerway had two felony warrants for theft of an automobile and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful flight and criminal damage issued out of Mohave County Superior Court. He was taken into custody without incident, but a search allegedly revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and numerous plastic bags.

On April 29, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Nicole Janell Nelson, 28, of Kingman on felony possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license. At about 10:15 p.m., deputies who were finishing a traffic stop at Bond Street and John L Avenue heard a crash of ceramic and saw a plant on the hood of a car and broken pottery on the ground. They also heard the occupants of a gold Chrysler yelling, according to Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter. The driver of the Chrysler reportedly drove away on Northfield Avenue heading east at a high rate of speed. Deputies pursued the vehicle until the driver pulled over on John L Avenue and Lomita Street. At that point, said Carter in an email, a male in the passenger seat fled from the scene and was not apprehended. Deputies smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and took Nelson into custody. In her purse, deputies reportedly found two pipes with residue, a glass jar containing marijuana and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

On May 1, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Tiffany Lee McConnell, 37, of Kingman on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies. Deputies contacted McConnell at about 8 a.m. at a residence in the 2400 block of Thompson Avenue. A record check showed McConnell had a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued out of Lake Havasu City Municipal Court. She was taken into custody without incident and a subsequent search allegedly revealed she was in possession of a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance, assorted pills, a baggie with marijuana in it and a glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue.
