KINGMAN -Dr. Dana Bowers will speak at Kingman Regional Medical Center's monthly Lunch and Learn Dec. 18. Her topic will be "Antimicrobial Stewardship: Now is the Time."
Bowers is a clinical pharmacist specializing in infectious diseases.
She graduated with a bachelor of arts in biology from Central Washington University and received her doctorate in pharmacy from Washington State University.
After graduation, she completed a residency at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash., and recently completed a two-year clinical research fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston.
Lunch and Learn features a different medical professional presenter each month, focusing on important health care topics. The seminars are free and held in the Del E Webb Wellness Center Conference Rooms from noon to 1 p.m. Participants bring their own lunches and KRMC provides beverages and dessert.
There is no charge for the program, but seating is limited. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. the day of the event.
