On May 28, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Ryan Cole Allen, 27, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated DUI-suspended driver's license. Deputies reportedly observed Allen traveling at 52 mph on Northern Avenue in a posted 35 mph zone at about 8:35 a.m. and stopped him as he turned onto the 4000 block of Willow Road.

Deputies reportedly smelled the odor of alcohol, but Allen said he had not been drinking. A record check revealed the suspended license.

He was taken into custody following field sobriety tests. Taken to the sheriff's office for analysis, Allen allegedly registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.262 percent, more than three times the legal limit.



Forgery, narcotics

On May 21, Kingman Police officers arrested Justin Anthony Warme, 30, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of narcotics, promoting prison contraband and two counts of forgery. Warme allegedly forged the name of a relative on two checks police say he cashed. He was allegedly in possession of other evidence of the forgery when he was arrested at about 1 p.m. At the jail, Warme was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics.



Bad bicycling

On May 21, Kingman Police arrested Sonny Lee Clark, 33, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clark drew police attention by allegedly committing numerous traffic offenses on his bicycle and was stopped in the 600 block of Third Avenue. Clark allegedly attempted to provide the officer with a false identity and was taken into custody. A search allegedly revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody without incident.



Disturbance leads to arrest

On May 22, Kingman Police officers arrested Lauren Marie Maday, 21, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for probation violation. Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Maple Street just after 5 p.m. Maday was contacted and a record check revealed the warrant. She was taken into custody and a search allegedly revealed she was in possession of heroin, morphine and drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody without incident.



Child support

On May 25, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Lester Alex Lackey, 50, of Kingman on a felony warrant for nonpayment of child support issued by Mohave County Superior Court. Deputies responded to a residence in the 3200 block of Hearne Avenue regarding an illegal burn at about 7:30 p.m. Lackey was reportedly burning leaves in his backyard and deputies advised him of the statewide burn ban in effect and requested he put out the fire. A record check revealed the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.



Strong brew

On May 27, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Anthony Mark Rodriguez, 52, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated DUI-suspended driver's license. Deputies stopped Rodriguez on Bond Street at Butler Avenue at about 11:38 p.m. for an unspecified violation. They reportedly smelled the odor of alcohol on Rodriguez, who reportedly told them he had consumed a 12-ounce beer about five minutes earlier. A record check revealed the suspended license. He was taken into custody following field sobriety tests. Taken to the sheriff's office for analysis, Rodriguez allegedly registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.235 percent, nearly three times the legal limit.



Jail bust

On May 30, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Mohave County jail regarding inmate Catherine Frances Coston, 35, of Kingman. A detention officer called deputies at about 2:30 a.m. after he or she allegedly found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine during a search. Coston was charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs.
