turned out for the 66th Annual Mohave County Fair Gymkhana, all competing to win saddles, buckles, horse blankets, silver show halters and gift cards.

Plus, everyone who participated had a shot at winning a Trophy Horse Trailer. The lucky winner was Charlotte Robinson.

There is always a risk of injury at these events, and this year Jordon Economou fell off his horse when the cinch broke. He bumped his head and the horse accidentally stepped on him.

With his mother, Andrea Economou, by his side, volunteers, riders and spectators made sure that Economou and his mother were given a ride to the hospital right away. Their horses were unsaddled and put in stalls with food and water.

Economou's injuries were not life-threatening and he was released from the hospital the next day.

"Jordon was so upset that he did not get to come back and finish the gymkhana, because he really wanted one of those neat saddles!" his mother said.
