Chris Marie and Butch Meriwether stand next to the donations people have dropped off at their home for Toys For Tots and the animal sanctuary For Luv Of Paws. Toys for Tots donations total 109 toys and stuffed animals and $180. About 774 pounds of dog and cat food and $300 was donated to For Luv Of Paws. Visitors to their ginormous Christmas display can still donate to either charity. The display is at 2225 S. Dome Road in Golden Valley. Turn south on Egar Road (mile marker 17) from Highway 68, drive about four miles and turn right on Tapeats Road. Head west for about one-half mile.

Chris and I will have a wrap up in the various media outlets of the totals collected once the dog and cat food drive is complete. We can say we ended up with 118 toys and $332 for Toys For Tots and since Christmas is over, the donations have been for the For The Luv Of Paws. We did get three wonderful women who brought three cans of (regular people) food I’ll be dropping off to the food bank when I drive into town. Hey, every little bit helps!
