KINGMAN - Kate Arnold's Kingman High School photography students compete annually in a landscape contest that honors Carlos Elmer's memory.
Frank Elmer, Carlos Elmer's son, sponsors the contest by giving cash prizes to the winners.
Senior Tiffany Newell (left) won top honors when two of her pictures were judged first and second place. She has completed six semesters of photography and is an "exceptionally talented photographer," Arnold said.
Naomi Ellis, a beginning student, photographed the south rim of the Grand Canyon on a foggy day and was awarded third place.
Arnold will be retiring at the end of this year. She thanked the judges and the Elmer family for their 16 years of support for the program.
