On Monday, Dec. 14, 28 students at Mount Tipton School participated in the annual spelling bee. Robert Lee (far right), a seventh-grader, was the champion of the competition. He will be Mount Tipton's representative to compete on Jan. 29 in the Mohave County Spelling Bee. His winning word to spell was "diamond." Robert is in Mrs. Dufresne's English class. In second place was Christian Platt, who successfully spelled "straightforward." Christian is in Mrs. Hayes' fourth/fifth-grade class.
