Mohave 911: June 17, 2013

On June 7, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Latisha Marie Fortune and Marina Marie Montoya, both 30, of Kingman. Fortune was arrested on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor warrants for failure to pay fines issued out of Kingman Justice Court and driving on a suspended license. Montoya was arrested on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At about 2:14 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Fortune in the 3500 block of Hearne Avenue. A record check showed her license was suspended and the arrest warrant. After a search, deputies reportedly found six pills inside of a wrapper. Some of them, according to Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter, were identified as dangerous drugs. A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded two more pills on the floor behind the passenger seat. A search of the passenger reportedly yielded a glass pipe with residue.

Both women were taken into custody without incident.

On June 8, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Trever John Monteiro, 18, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor warrant issued out of Kingman Justice Court. At about 11:15 a.m., deputies spotted Monteiro walking in the area of Tommie Drive and Devlin Avenue and were aware he had a warrant. They conducted a high-risk contact, said Carter, and took him into custody without incident. A search reportedly revealed a plastic bag containing a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

On June 10, Kingman Police detectives arrested Vernadena Mischell Hogan, 45, and Stephanie Michelle Troy, 29, both of Kingman, on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrests were the result of a search warrant served at Hogan's apartment in the 3300 block of Harrison Street. The warrant was issued as part of a drug sales investigation, according to Capt. Rusty Cooper. Detectives reportedly found methamphetamine and assorted paraphernalia related to drugs and drug sales.

The pair was taken into custody without incident.

On June 10, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Ryan Joshua Garcia, 28, of Kingman on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued out of Yavapai Superior Court. Deputies contacted Garcia in the area of Thompson Wash at about 8:20 a.m. and a record check revealed the warrant.

He was taken into custody without incident.

On June 12, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Lee Williams Jr., 57, of Kingman on a felony warrant for parole violation issued by the Arizona Department of Corrections, and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued out of Kingman Justice Court. Deputies located Williams at a residence in the 2100 block of East Butler Avenue regarding an unrelated matter at about 1:30 a.m.
