Mohave 911: July 15, 2013

On June 28, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Joy Bell, 38, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. At about 1:45 p.m., deputies stopped Bell in the area of Diamond Street and Gordon Drive. Bell, according to Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter, was "extremely nervous," and deputies called in K9 Raidin and his handler. The dog alerted to the vehicle after a quick sniff and deputies located a plastic bag containing marijuana, several prescription pills and a white crystal substance. Bell reportedly admitted the items were hers. She was taken into custody without incident.

On June 30, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Timothy James Lynch, 23, of Kingman on a felony charge of possession of narcotics. At about 9:30 a.m., deputies contacted Lynch in the 3300 block of Northern Avenue. A search revealed Lynch to be in possession of prescription medication that wasn't his. He was taken into custody without incident.

On June 30, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Richie Diamond O'Connor, 18, of Kingman on a felony count of possession of marijuana. At about 11:30 a.m., deputies contacted O'Connor in the 3700 block of Northfield Avenue. O'Connor reportedly admitted to being in possession of marijuana, which was contained in a small plastic bag in his pocket. He was taken into custody without incident.

On July 6, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Clayton Paul Hutsell, 56, of Dolan Springs on a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court. At about 10:45 a.m., deputies contacted Hutsell at the Mohave County Sheriff's Office regarding an unrelated incident. A record check revealed the warrant and Hutsell was taken into custody. A search reportedly revealed a makeshift pipe, which Hutsell allegedly explained he used "to smoke drugs." He was taken into custody without incident.

On July 9, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Wayne Garcia, 28, of Peach Springs on two felony warrants for failure to appear issued Mohave County Superior Court and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, trespassing and criminal damage. At about 5:15 a.m., deputies observed Garcia driving a GMC pickup at 14 mph in a posted 35 mph zone on Bond Street. He abruptly pulled into a driveway in the 2200 block of Hearne Avenue and fled. Once deputies learned the pickup did not belong to anyone in the home, a search was conducted and Garcia was found in the bed of another truck. Garcia led them on another foot chase through yards, down alleys and over fences. Garcia didn't stop until deputies hit him with a taser. The criminal damage charge was filed because Garcia allegedly broke a door to a large dog kennel as he jumped a fence. He was taken into custody without further incident, but not before he was evaluated at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
