On April 4, a Kingman Police officer arrested Elizabeth Lee Wilson, 24, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated assault on a police officer. Officers responded to a call from a group home regarding an escape at about 8:30 p.m. Wilson, the alleged escapee, was located in the 2500 block of Hualapai Mountain Road and reportedly punched an officer in the face. She was subsequently taken into custody.
Loud knocks lead to meth bust
On April 5, Kingman Police officers arrested Daniel James Burke, 30, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Street regarding someone loudly banging on a door at about 4:10 a.m.
Officers learned Burke and the resident were acquaintances, but they also allegedly found methamphetamine and the associated paraphernalia. Burke was taken into custody without incident.
On April 6, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Trey Edmond Tyree, 27, of Kingman on a felony charge of disorderly conduct with a weapon. Deputies responded to a weapons offense report on Stockton Hill Road at milepost 15 at about 8:50 p.m.
A dispatcher advised them that a caller reported that someone in a car drove slowly by his home in the area of Bank Street and Calle Lucero and fired several shots at his house and that the caller was following the car southbound on Stockton Hill Road. Deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic stop.
There were four people in the car. Deputies determined Tyree, a passenger, fired a Crosman air gun, which resembles a high-powered pistol but fired BBs or pellets propelled by Co2 in a canister. Tyree reportedly told deputies he did not aim the weapon at any homes.
Another person in the vehicle was arrested on misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.
On April 7, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Ernest Camilli, 62, of Kingman on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Baxter County, Arkansas.
Deputies contacted Camilli in the 8100 block of Route 66 regarding the warrant. He was taken into custody without incident.
On Wednesday, Kingman Police officers arrested Brian Tyler Crossland, 37, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of prescription only drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers responded to Crossland's home in the 2300 block of Ashfork Avenue at about 11:45 a.m. to assist a probation officer, who allegedly found 72 pills and drug paraphernalia after searching the residence.
Crossland was taken into custody without incident.
Meth and pipes
On Friday, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Latonja Mishalyn Slatter-Ross, 46, and Corey Leo Tapia, 45, both of Kingman. Slatter-Ross was arrested for felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Tapia was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies stopped the pair in the 3500 block of Northern Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. A record check revealed the failure to pay fines warrant for Slatter-Ross and she was taken into custody without incident.
Slatter-Ross reportedly admitted she was in possession of drugs and handed deputies a plastic bag with methamphetamine and a pipe with residue.
A search of Tapia allegedly revealed a glass pipe with burnt residue. He was taken into custody without incident.
