Probe leads to citation
The Arizona Game and Fish Department has charged an individual with illegally killing a mountain lion. William Strauss, 56, of Seligman was cited for take of big game without a tag and possession of unlawfully taken big game. He was also warned for false reporting to a law enforcement agency.

If you've been to South Cove on Lake Mead lately, you know the water level at the launch ramp is dropping every day.

This has made launching a boat of any appreciable size a real challenge. And with the 4th of July weekend coming up, there could be some real problems for local boaters who want to recreate on Lake Mead this holiday weekend.

The last hunter education class for 2010 will be July 30, and according to volunteer instructor Page McDonald, pre-registrations are now being accepted.

The class is taught by a team of instructors over a two-weekend period.
