Club awards Anglers of the Year
Father and son take home top honors

The father/son team of Dave Hilton II and Dave Hilton III took top honors, winning the Kingman Bass Club's Anglers of the Year award.

The team accumulated 296.71 tournament points during the course of fishing eight club tournaments during the year. This included two throw-out tournaments.

Second place was won by Art Fuller and Pete Byers, who had 291.58 points.

Third place was taken by the team of Greg Parker and Danny Lloyd. They garnered 287.28 points.

Fourth place was taken by Shane Moline and Tina Kennedy. They had 282.52 points, but since they didn't fish in the club's April and May tournaments, they lost 10 points that they would have received no matter where they finished.

A total of 14 teams participated in the KBC's tournament trail in 2012.

The club allows teams to pick their own partners for the season.

Moline/Kennedy won the award for the heaviest five-fish limit of the year. Their bag weighed 19.62 pounds. Micah Jones and Derrick Jones had the second-heaviest limit, a bag that weighed 17.30 pounds.

The Jones boys did win the heaviest bass of the season, a lunker that they checked in that weighed 5.25 pounds.

The club finished off their season with a "fish off" in November at Alamo Lake. Though this tournament had no effect on the final standings, it was the final tournament of the year.

Greg Parker and Danny Lloyd won that two-day event with eight bass that weighed 10.06 pounds.

Second place was won by Roger Miller and Mike Miller. That team checked in five bass that weighed 7.38 pounds.

Shane Moline and Tina Kennedy took third place with six bass that weighed 6.82 pounds.

The club will be starting off the 2013 season with a one-day tournament on Jan. 27 on Lake Havasu at Cattail Cove.

All anglers are invited to join Kingman's only bass fishing club.
